THEA'S POV:
Have you ever witnessed your dreams coming true?
I have!
No, I'm not talking about becoming a celebrity or a youth icon, nope, I'm talking about confronting a person who has always visited you in your dreams. Whom you thought was surreal and when you see them in real life, it numbs you.
He numbs me. Emric Reed sucks the life out of me.
There he was at my house in the freaking morning. I had no clue why or how he was there but the way he breathed heavily explained that he rushed to be at my place.
Woah, did he actually run to my place? Fuck no, he can't. Sorry, he won't.
Although we had met last night, I was stunned, or I can say speechless to see him. Before
this, he has always visited me in my dreams where we sat by the lake and quietly watched the steady water.
The dreams feel like I see myself through his eyes, I narrate my story from his point of view. Usually, I brush them off thinking they aren't real but sometimes, my gut feeling said that they're my memories that have faded with time.
"What are you doing here?" I chuckled as if it were totally normal to see him unexpectedly.
"I'm here to see Rose." he gulped the entire glass of water.
When I opened the door, he was standing in joggers, panting heavily, with unruly sleepy hair and a thin layer of sweat on his neck. For a moment, I checked out how good he looked and how could I forget that slight glance at his tattoo. My eyes are curiously waiting that someday I'll know what it is.
"You jogged at 6 am to meet Rose?" I scoffed, "Sorry but that doesn't make sense." I crossed my arms.
I stood five feet from the couch where he was looking at Rose's picture frame from her 1st birthday.
"Yeah, I jogged three miles to just see her. Does that shock you?" Holyshit! Who does that?
"Yes, it does... and I have to ask you to leave because she is still sleeping."
"No problem, I can wait." he knowingly smirked. I sighed in defeat and rolled my eyes.
"Fine. I'm going back to bed, make yourself comfortable." I started to walk away.
"Wait, is this how you treat your guests?"
"Not all guests, just you because, unlike others, you came at 6 am." I scowled.
His lips formed in a tight line as he stopped himself from laughing. "Come...have a seat and let's talk over a cup of coffee." he patted on the sofa.
"Am I in trouble, dad?" I laughed.
"No honey, I'm here to solve your troubles." he grinned.
"You're being so sketchy, Emric. I swear I have a feeling you'll kill me." I pouted.
"Don't worry, you won't feel when I kill you," he smirked. I mocked him as if I found him funny before I flipped him with a middle finger.
"Fine, we can talk... only...if you make coffee," I demanded.
