EMRIC'S POV:
Once again, it was time to leave this house. Thea and I visited our dads in the morning. It was a pleasure meeting with them this time. Different from all other times. Perhaps it was a happy day. Thea and I felt more than we have ever felt. A sense of completeness. However, happiness scares me as they're temporary. My happy days were like the silence before the storm.
I set aside the stacks of boxes as I pulled the mystery box out. It was covered in dust and cobweb. It hasn't been touched in years since the accident happened.
I never took the box with me nor showed it to anyone, including Thea. Mr. Jones knew about it but the way the lid was glued to the box said it hadn't been touched by him too.
I picked the very first thing my fingers caught on. A letter.
******FLASHBACK OF LAKEHOUSE 2018*******
"Merry Christmas, Lovebug" Thea snaked her hand in my hoodie pockets from behind as her cheek pressed to my back.
"Merry Christmas, Sweetcheeks" I twisted halfway to hand her hot chocolate.
"Thank you. I also have something for you." She grinned as she handed me a letter. She already gifted me a Rolling Stones hoodie that I was wearing right now and a polaroid camera. I loved photography. I believed that moments could be captured in only two ways. One was through our memories and the other was the camera. I already had a high-tech camera for wild photography, but polaroid was to capture our happy moments. Especially ours.
"A handwritten letter! Wow!" I opened it as she patiently waited for me to read. "Maybe we can go somewhere else as I read." I winked. We were standing in our open kitchen from where we could see our parents as they were absorbed in the movie going on TV.

Hi, Lovebug! Congratulations on getting promoted from friends to lovers. I'm so happy for us. It's still unbelievable that you and I are officially in a relationship. All my 11:11 manifestations worked as I always wished to be with you no matter our relationship. I'm glad that you admitted your feelings or else I'd never said mine and our one-sided love could've never turned into this. I LOVE YOU so much that I want to keep saying it again and again.
