Hello lovely readers :)

It's been a while since I posted any new chapter.

I apologize for the delay since I had typhoid. My fevers and body pain didn't allow me to sit and write. However, I'm back. Recovering but back.

Happy Reading!

THEA'S POV:

"Thea?"

"Yeah?" I looked up from my laptop and noticed Emric holding a spatula while Rose stood, tucking onto his shirt.

"Rose and I were thinking that we should go, and get pumpkins," he said, winking at my daughter.

"You two decided?" Both nodded, giving me their best smile. "Pumpkins for what?" I rolled my eyes when they laughed. Lovely! Now they had inside jokes.

"Honey, it's Halloween time, we need pumpkins," he said, enthusiastically.

"Seriously? Since when you started celebrating Halloween?" I raised my brow.

"Since I met you. I mean, you're the inspiration for Halloween." his eyes admiringly crinkled as he smiled.

"Me? Inspiration?" I chuckled.

"Yes, you're Miss Medusa, remember? You love it so much that you never leave your character," he smirked.

I gasped. "What an ass—" I stopped since Rose was hearing us. "You shouldn't have done that," I warned as he laughed.

"Oops! I already did it." he shrugged "We're going pumpkin shopping and we also need an outfit for Honeybug. She wants to be Cocomelon." Emric informed me.

"Oh, and did she tell you that?" I set my laptop aside and walked toward them. He nodded.

"Rosey, honey, do you want to be a Cocomelon?" I asked for my own satisfaction since all Emric does is manipulate her.

"YES! I LOVE HALLOLEEN!" she cheered with a loud laugh. Emric and I shared a look and I wish I could punch him for gloating.

"All right! We can go but we aren't buying any other Halloween stuff." He opened his mouth to protest "Don't!" I warned him.

"O-okay but no promises" he giggled like a little girl and went his way back to the kitchen. After last night's murder mystery case winner, he was ought to cook all day today. It was fun watching him lose the case file. The way he covered his frown with a fake smile while gripping his roots was soothing to my eyes.

No one can challenge me to murder mystery games, I solve them best and why wouldn't I? On all my uncomfortable pregnancy nights, I'd watch crime documentaries, and detective shows.

"Here you go," Emric showed up with my breakfast. I excitedly set my laptop aside. "Freshly extracted apple shake with avocado toast and bacon," he explained about whatever was on the plate.

"Oh!" Within a second, my excitement went from one hundred to zero.

"What's that 'oh'?" he asked. I thought of lying but the look on my face knew I'd lie.

"I was expecting something spicy and yummy and delicious," I said, trying my best not to show my disappointment. "And– where is my coffee?"

"Darling, this is authentic American breakfast." he pushed the plate in my lap. "Oh! And it's healthy too. By the way you need to cut your caffeine intake." he added.

"Wait— okay, I can adjust to this but— cutting my caffeine is not possible." I denied. Caffeine is my medicine. I can't live without it.

"Thea!"
