Hello lovers :)
It's been so long since we met, sorry that I ghosted you guys for so long but as the ending is coming close, I had to critically think about the ending.
Trust me, I still don't feel I did a good job with this chapter that you're about to read but I hope it's okay enough, Idk, 'm sorry :(

THEA'S POV:
What is love, a question posed by the world?
Is love the strongest form of passion for someone?
Is love giving your entire life to that person selflessly?
Or is it a struggle between life and death for that person?
I truly didn't understand what love was, and I don't think I ever will. For me, love is being illogical when it comes to that one person's wishes; for me, love is doing everything in my control to make that person happy, but, I guess, that isn't enough.
I knew I loved Emric. I knew I could never love anyone else the way I love him. I knew that our fate was decided way before we knew what love was, and I also knew that we could go out of our way for each other's happiness. However, I didn't know Emric was capable of so much more. Selfless love is one thing, but ruining your own life for the sake of another person—that's way too much.
More than I could ever love him, he loves me. He has proved it, and I'm unable to bear the thought of all the sacrifices he made for me. Thinking about them makes me feel claustrophobic.
"Stop it, Thea. Why are you packing your bag?" Mom panicked as I grabbed a few sweaters and dumped them into a duffle bag. I didn't answer her as I was too occupied by my questionable existence.
I opened the wardrobe, and my thoughts paused the invasion when I noticed a teddy print-wrapped present sitting on top of my clothes.
"Thea, listen to--" Mom further opened the wardrobe door and glanced at the present which read, 'To Honeybug'. Emric left it here.
My first thought was to open it but as soon as I looked at mom, I changed my decision. I handed it to her.
"No, you've to open it." She gave it back to me. For God's sake, Thea, it's a child's present. You can open it, my angel said.
I unwrapped the present with my trembling hands. It had five different bedtime storybooks and a letter. I handed the books to mom and opened the letter.
I traced my fingers over his handwriting and sniffed his perfume's smell lingering on it.
*****
Dear Rose,
I know you can't read this letter right now since you're too small for it, so your mom will read this for you and that's why this letter is for both of you.
Happy birthday, baby. You're two now. My baby bug is growing up so fast. I'm so happy but also sad. Since the day I saw your green eyes on your mother's phone screen, I've been captivated by them. I mean, you and your mom did some sort of magic on me that I can't stop loving you two.
Soon, I'm going to spoil you with a bunch of presents you and I have discussed. For right now, I got you new story books but when I meet you again, we are going to the theme park soon.
Also, I want you to know that you brought hope into my life. You showed me that it takes so little to be happy and somehow you became one of the important reasons to move on in my life while being happy in little moments. Your mom is the love of my life but you're the reason to love my life.
