Hello guys!
Happy New Year to everyone. ♥
I hope this year, you work on yourself at your own pace and find something or someone that brings you happiness. I'd suggest don't make resolutions since they are meant to be broken. It's better you promise yourself that you'll be a better version of yourself.
You can lie to everyone but you can't lie to yourself so understand what's best for you. Nobody is going to love you until you love yourself. So love, smile, and do what your heart wants. In the end, your happiness only matters.
And sorry for the delay in this chapter. I was caught up with other work and have been having a little self-reflection so took time off and understood what makes me happy. Turns out it's writing.

EMRIC'S POV:
"What are you doing, Emric?" Thea asked as I walked straight to the living room.
"Mr. Jones, can you watch Rose for us." I looked at my watch. "It's her nap time so can you please stay with her," My eyes pleaded. He noticed the box in my hand as he stepped back in surprise. Perhaps none of us had wished to see this day.
He nodded giving me an apologetic smile and took Rose with him.
"Thea, sit down, please" I pleaded once the coast was clear. Although I had imagined a day when I would tell the truth, I hadn't thought it would be happening this way. I was volunteering to jump into a personal hell. It was a ticket to guilt trip again and I was the only passenger who could travel so here I was.
She quietly sat as her eyes stayed focused on me. "Before I start, just remember I had a reason behind everything I did," I warned her. "Believe me, please," I said.
"I trust you more than anyone, Emric. I know you always have the best interest in me." She sounded promising but it'd only be a matter of time before she'd be running away from me.
"Before the accident happened, we were dating and our parents knew about it," I said like a serious announcement however, she stayed quiet and expressionless. I showed her the pictures that once I had captured. I used them to explain her how we confessed and made it official. "I know it's hard for you to believe but these pictures are proof of it."
She repeatedly stared at every picture. Her nails turned white from her tight grip on it. "I-I don't know what to s-say!" she put the pictures aside and held her head. "I don't recall any of these." Her voice shakes as she bit her bottom lip to hold back her tears.
"You hit your head in that car wreck and you lost most of our–" I couldn't complete it as the pain is still fresh.
"But you said it was cardiac arrest." She whispered as she wiped her nose on her sleeves.
"A lot happened that night, Thea. Your body went through shock and a lot of pain." I wanted to scoot closer and comfort her but I'm not sure at what moment she'd push me away.
"Honestly–" she sniffled, huffing out her pent-up breath as she was trying not to cry. "I don't remember anything from the accident. All I remember is from the nightmares."
"Be glad that you don't remember that night because I have played that night enough times to never sleep at ease." I half-smiled.
She picked up the bracelet from the box. Her fingers trembled as she read the message written on the charm.
