Couple weeks later

Sofia and Valentina were watching a movie when her phone started ringing. Valentina groaned standing up looking at her phone seeing it was a US number.  "I'll be right back."

"Ok." Sofia nodded turning towards the Tv.

She got up and walked out the room answering the call. She wasn't sure who was calling her but since she had some friends in the States she decided to answer. "Hello."

"Hey Val."

"Jax?" Valentina asked surprised. She hadn't heard from her friend since long before she had left. 

"Yeah its me."

Valentina scoffed she kenw that people weren't just giving out her number to people so they had to have found it a different way. "How'd you get my number?"

"A friend."

"Cut to the chase, what do you want?" If he was calling she knew that it had to be for a reason. And now she was starting to worried about what it might be.

"I have something to tell you." And since he wouldn't lie to his long-time friend, he knew they needed to have this talk.

"And you decided to call in the middle of the day." She was sure there was better things that he could be doing right not. "Or middle of the night there?"

"I sent you something."

"What?" The doorbell rang, which only peaked her confusion more. But since she was sure she needed to be the one to answer it.  "I got it." She shouted she ran to opened the door to see her old friends Jax and Mia. She hung up on the phone really surprised to see them. "What are you doing here?"

"It's about your stepdad." Mia answered. 

"What?" Valentina asked confused she didn't get what this has to do with Marco.

"Other one 2nd husband." Jax clarified he knew that she needed to be informed about this."It's important."

"Come in." She opened the door to let them in as her parents walked downstairs. 

Elena  looked over at them confused she knew that her daughter didn't like any of the people at her school besides Sofia. "Whose this."

"Old friends from the States." Valentina introduced although she was still confused why they had showed up at her house. "This is Jax and Mia." 

"Hi as much as i wold like to do the greetings we came with important news." Mia knew that cutting to the chase wasn't always the way to go but in this case she was making the exception. "You want the bad news the good news or the really bad news."

"Oh god." Valentina took a breath she already didn't like the way this was going. But she was sure the bad news was the best way to go.  "Bad news."

"Bad news your stepdad showed up a few weeks after you left looking for you." Jax knew how much his friend had hated that guy and that now he was causing some problems for them. "Good news they caught your moms killer we didn't like her anyway so you don't have to worry about any of that following you."

"Hired hit by Elena Romano my stepmother I know. She told me." And she was fine with it anyways her birth mother had deserved everything that had happened to her. 

Mia nodded she was happy to see her best friend happy and hated that she was about to e the one to take that from her. "Really bad news they reported you as kidnapped."

"Who?" Valentina asked. She didn't think anyone could technically even do it.

"Stepdad and his new family."
