Chapter 6

Yvaine's POV

When our christmas break came, I helped my aunt in managing our grocery. It's built near our house so it's more accessible for me. Sa loob ng office lang naman ako pero minsan ay nag-iikot ako. There are incidents of stealing and running away goods but all of them are harmless. We haven't experience something that includes hostaging and such and I hope we never get to experience it anytime soon.

"Hindi ka pa magla lunch, Yvaine?" tanong ni tita rys saakin.

"Mamaya nalang tita... I have to finish this first"

Pinakita ko ang inventory ng mga bagong dating na goods. This will be needed in my dad's office later. He's strict pa man din especially if it's about the business. He doesn't want dirty games. Dapat ay dadaan lahat sa screening niya, if not then he'll go mad.

"Do you want me to book? Restaurant of your choice. Kahit ipa food panda nalang natin" she offered.

Umiling ako, "It's really fine tita. I'll go out when I'm hungry."

She nodded her head finally accepting her defeat, "Okay, sige. Itext or chat mo nalang ako kapag lalabas ka so that I'll look into your work muna while you're out"

"Thanks, tita..."

Past two na nung matapos ako sa ginagawa. Matagal na ding nakabalik sa loob yung mga employees. I stretched and fixed my things. My stomach is already acting up. Alam kong wala akong maayos na food pattern but what else should I do.

"Lunch lang ako," paalam ko sa HR.

"Take your time, ma'am"

Umalis ako agad sa office, dala ang bag ko. Madami akong nakakasalubong na buyers. Ngumiti at binati ko ang ilang nakakasalubong. Some of them didn't do the same, maybe they're thinking I'm weird. Hindi ko nalang yun pinansin.

I was about to go out when I saw a familiar face entering our grocery. She's not alone but she's with someone. As far as I remember this is not her girlfriend. Wait, is she cheating? A cheater? Oh I hate them.

Nagkatinginan kami ni Kale, nakita ko ang gulat sa mga mata niya pero imbes na batiin siya ay dinaan ko lamang sila. I don't know why I did it but I don't regret it. Ayos lang kahit isipin niya na ang suplada ko naman. I just cannot accept it when there's someone cheating. Plus alam kong may girlfriend siya tapos makikita ko siya with someone else.

I went to a restaurant nearby, after ordering my food I sat next to the window alone. Sinalampak ko sa tainga ang earbuds ko at tahimik na kumain. I'm just focusing on eating when I felt someone sitting next to me. Sa pag iisip na baka napadaan lang yun hindi ko na lang ito pinansin at nagpatuloy pa din sa pagkain.

I chewed on my straw and think of what will I do in the holidays. For years I was the one planning our family gathering events. Sometimes Jill offer his hand but I can't really trust him on this. Papaguluhin niya lang ang lahat. So I always go to planning alone. Mas makakapag isip din naman ako kapag mag-isa ko lang.

Napatalon ako saaking kinauupuan nung may nangalabit saakin. I covered my mouth when Kale's face appeared infront of me. It was too close, I have to move my head back. I removed my earbuds and glared at her. Ito paborito akong gulatin.

"You!" tinuro ko siya habang nakahawak sa dibdib ko.

"What?" she chuckled.

"Palagi mo akong ginugulat! Ikaw ata papatay saakin e," I drank on my glass of juice.

"OA mo ate! Sorry," nagkamot siya. Palagi niya yung ginagawa kapag kinakabahan siya. I just notice.

"Tsk, where's your side chick?" liningon ko ang tabi niya. Wala na akong nakita na babae.
