Chapter 19

Yvaine's POV

Kale's not moving to where she's standing. I already left her there but still she didn't move, can't even blink. Ilang metro lang ang layo namin pero kitang kita ko pa din ang mukha niyang nagulat. She didn't really expect that kiss... and that little becoming it official. It wasn't planned at all, I just realized she deserve an honest answer and that's my honest answer. I didn't want to prolong the dating stage since I think it will only waste our time. We can always know each other better while we're together. I don't even want us to rush things. I want to do it smoothly, right timing, without hesitation. Ayoko nang may pilit. Ayokong ipilit namin yung mga bagay na hindi naman kamin komportableng gawin.

I laughed at her when she finally blinked and the first thing she did is to find me. Linublob ko yung kalahati ng mukha ko sa tubig para hindi niya ako makita but I think she already memorized my presence. When our eyes met she grinned. Mabilis siyang sumisid sa ilalim ng tubig. I had to escape her. I tried swimming away but I screamed when a strong force pulled my feet.

Kale's face appeared in front of me after she surfaced out of the water. I giggled when I saw how epic her face was. Inayos niya yung buhok niya at nagpunas ng mukha. I can hear our friends talking and singing behind us. Giving us our own world.

"You think you can escape me?" she grinned.

Iniwas ko yung mukha ko nung yumuko siya para halikan ako. In the end her kiss landed on my cheek. I felt her smile.

"Getting shy now after what you did?" she chuckled.

Napakapit ako sa magkabila niyang braso nung agresibo niya akong hilahin palapit sa katawan niya. My heart started racing again. My cheeks turned red when I remembered what I did back there.

"You're so good at teasing me eh!" tinago ko ang mukha ko sa dibdib niya.

"Get a room, you two!"

"Ang lalandi!"

"Rated SPG, patnubay at gabay ng magulang ang kailangan para sa mga batang manonood"

"Mga inggitera!" Kale shouted back.

Instead of talking to us they just shrugged us off. May kung ano silang ginagawa doon. Pakiramdam ko nga ay naglalaro sila without telling us. Ang sasama.

"Can you say it? I want to hear it from you," sinandal niya ang noo niya sa noo ko.

She cupped my face, both of her palms are pressed against my cheeks. I didn't have a choice but to look back at her. She looks so serious and patient. I can also feel her desire to kiss me more but I know she has some respect on her. Ganun naman siya noon pa. She will always consider me and my feelings. Hindi niya ginagawa kung pakiramdam niya hindi ako komportable and I really appreciate her for that.

"Let's stop dating... let's be together, Kale" seryoso kong sabi.

Napasinghap ako nung patakan niya ng mababaw na halik ang buong mukha ko. I giggled while she's doing that.

"Hindi mo alam kung gaano ako kasaya ngayon. God, Yvaine you're amazing. Thank you"

"No, thank you.."

I never said it before but Kale was one of the few reasons why I'm still here. I tried so hard before to end my sufferings.. to put an end to my misery. I never think existing is good, it felt weird and unliveable before but now it felt so good. She made me feel that living could actually give you different emotions. That living could mean a lot.... that someone could mean a lot.
