Chapter 42

Yvaine's POV

I watched Kale as she was talking to our parents with a glass of wine in her hand. She's not a wine girl but she's really trying her best to meet with our parents' lifestyle. I'm sure gusto na niya itong isuka pero hindi niya magawang magbigay ng reaksyon dahil ayaw niyang may masabi sila sakanya.

I really appreciate her patience... from listening to their old chit chats to adding some of her view points which is really attractive for me. We're all hanging out  in our lodging area. Luke and Frince are already sleeping inside our guest room. They've decided to spend the night here. I'm beyond happy. Mom will not stay here but her husband will come later to fetch her. I don't even know if dad's fine with his presence but I know he's separating his personal problems just to fit in. Wala din namang mangyayari if nag away away sila. I want unity within my family and in order to achieve it, everyone should be willing to adjust.

"Viel's so distant..."

Liningon ko saglit si Jill na nakaupo sa tabi ko. Parehas kaming nakatingin sa mga matatanda. Kale glanced at me and smiled before lending her ears to the oldies again.

"Distant? Bakit, nag aaway ba kayo?" kuryusong tanong ko.

I can't still believe that she's pregnant. I'm aware that they are planning on marrying each other on December but it was really out of my knowledge. Hindi naman siguro yun impossible pero hindi ko din talaga inaasahan na mangyayari yun sakanila. I even thought Kale and I will be the first one to get married. Naunahan na nga kami sa kasal, naunahan pa kaming magka-anak.

"Hindi kami magka away... in fact we're good. After naming maghiwalay kaninang umaga naging ganun na siya. She doesn't even want to see me"

Ramdam ko ang lungkot sakanyang boses. I feel guilty and sad for him. If only I could release that bomb news, I will pero alam kong hindi ko puwedeng gawin yun. Viel trust us. Kung meron mang puwedeng makapagsabi sakanya nito yun ay si Viel lang.

"Let her be, maybe she's having a hard time. Try ka lang ng try she will open up to you. Imposibleng hindi"

"I'll give her this night," he whispered.

I glanced at Kale, she was already looking at me. She looks tipsy and aroused. I can really feel her intense stares from where she was seated. I remembered what happened earlier inside that private room. I lost control, pag talaga siya nawawalan ako ng kontrol sa katawan.

"What?" I mouthed.

The side of her lips rosed, "I love you..."

I smiled, "I love you..."

Nagtagal pa sila ng isang oras uun bago dumating ang sundo ni mom. Hindi na sumama saamin sa paghatid sa labas dahil na din siguro sa lalake. I would feel the same way if I were him. Ayoko din namang harapin ang taong sumira sa buhay namin. It would really require someone a lot of courage and forgiveness to do that. As for me, I couldn't forgive and forget. I will always remember every detail.

Akay akay ko si Kale nung pataas na kami ng hagdan. Nauna na yung matatandang tumaas kanina. Jill helped me, Kale was a little heavy since she's giving us her whole weight. Hindi na niya kayang buhatin ang sarili.

"Wine pa more..." sabi ni Jill.

"Mas tamado pa siya sa wine kaysa sa shembot eh" I chuckled.

"Sinong lasing— hindi ako lasing!" halos hindi na namin maintindihan ang sinasabi niya.

We let her talk and talk until we reached my room. I turned on the lights and guided her towards the bed.

"Ayos na?" Jill asked para pa siyang nagmamadali.
