Sofie

I woke up the next day and lay in my bed, pondering my existence. Then my bladder wanted to erupt. I rushed to the bathroom to take care of my business before heading downstairs to make coffee.

While the coffee brewed, I leaned on the countertop and thought about my sperm donor. He was only coming home for this stupid new house before leaving again. My mother followed him like a helpless puppy. It sure wasn't because she was a mother to me.

My dad would say jump. My mom would ask how high. How the hell did I get stuck with loser parents? I groaned at the thought.

Why couldn't I have nice, loving parents? Was it too much to ask?

I laid my head on the counter and banged it against it. Maybe if I hit my head hard enough, it would put me out of my damn misery. Then I stopped when I realized I needed to hide from my parents.

I poured a cup of coffee and texted Rachel. 911!

My phone pinged with a new message.

Oh, God! What?

I need to hide.

Are Scrooge and his lame sidekick returning?

I chuckled at Rachel's nickname for my dad. Yes.

I'll pick you up tonight. You can stay at mine.

You're da best.

I know.

I rolled my eyes and poured a cup of coffee. I checked my phone to see if Odin had called or texted. He didn't.

I pursed my lips. It's not like I could call Odin since I didn't have his number. But then again, he said he was meeting someone. I wonder if it's a girl. Why wouldn't he meet a girl? It's not like Odin was hideous.

What if Odin met a girl, and she was stunning? It wouldn't surprise me. Who wouldn't jump at a chance with Odin? He had these incredible qualities, and he was hot.

The more questions that flooded my mind, the more my hopes and dreams burned up like an inferno. I sighed and drank my coffee in a house that felt like a prison. Ah, good times.

"I'll give you two seconds to get dressed and get the hell out of my house!" I barked at the girl with Jordin.

The girl scrambled into her clothes and rushed past me. Jordin pulled on his boxer briefs.

"What the fuck, Jordin?" I asked.

"Chill, Odin." Jordin pulled a shirt over his head.

"I won't chill. Stop bringing hoes to my house. I'm not a damn garden!"

Jordin rolled his eyes.

"Clean this mess up before I send you packing!" I stormed out of Jordin's bedroom. I didn't need this shit.

Kyler came out of his bedroom, rubbing his eyes. "What's with the yelling?"

"Jordin and his hoe of the week broke his damn bed," I said.

Roman and Ryden's doors opened as they ran to Jordin's bedroom and laughed.

"That's hilarious!" Roman laughed.

"Shit, Jordin. I didn't realize you were into acrobatics." Ryden laughed.

"Get the hell out of here!" Jordin shoved frick and frack out of his room and shut his door.

The twins roared with laughter.

"It's too early for this bullshit." Kyler shook his head and returned to his bedroom.
