Zed chased Tango around the woods trying to get back at him for dumping a bucket of water on top of his head. He knew he wouldn't be able to catch up to him unless he tripped over himself or something or if he ran out of stamina. He was a lot taller than the goat hybrid as well, double loss.

Tango soon made it to the fence and jumped over it. Zed knew better than to follow him but he did anyway, too caught up in the fun. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to be a little risky right? Yes, Xisuma put up that fence to keep monsters out but whenever people were near the fence nothing bad seemed to happen, it was just silence.

Nevertheless they hopped over and continued running after each other.

—--------

     Skitter scatter, skitter scatter.

They both stopped in front of an old worn down barn.

Tango: "We should go inside!"

Before Zed could respond he had already dashed inside. Once they started looking around Zed felt a little uneasy.

Zed: "Are you sure about this, Tango.?"

Tango grinned down at him as he grabbed a hold of his arm.

Tango: "What? Are you Scared?"

Zed nodded, not trying to hide it.

Tango picked him up and put him on back.

Tango: "Well, if there is some sort of scary monster. I'll make sure both of us get out!"

Tango smiled up at Zed and continued walking.

Skitter scatter, skitter scatter.Skitter scatter, skitter scatter.

The noise got louder and louder as they walked to a small opening. Zed was about to scream until Tango set him down. There sat a boy, well, sorta like a boy, a human boy? There weren't many humans left after the End war. Xisuma was in the End war at a young age.

Could they have a human friend? Tango walked up to the boy and sat beside him. He had a bandage over his left eye, there was dried up blood on his cheek as well. He eventually noticed Tango and started to freak out a little.

     Tango seemed to recognize him.

Tango: "Zed, remember the boy I said I saw from the other side of the fence?"

The boy got pulled into a hug as Zed walked into the small area. As he walked in the boy seemed to have calmed down from the hug Tango had given him.

Zed: "Yeah?"

Tango: "This is him, I thought he was one of the shadow monsters papa told us about, turns out he was just very muddy, What's your name anyway?"

He looked back at the boy.

Impulse: 'Impulse..'

His voice came out as raspy and nervous.

Zed giggled and started talking to Impulse, Tango soon joined in after.

Impulse listened to them both talk. It's been so long since he's seen people, well he thought they were people? Were they? They were around his age for sure but could he trust them?

Zed had a curious mind and he looked Impulse up and down, trying to look at every detail he could. Zed was very observant unlike Tango. Tango was reckless most of the time so he'd often get into trouble and Zed would also because most of the time he couldn't stop Tango or was just following him around.

As I've said, Tango is reckless when it comes to things, Xisuma was trying to teach him to cook and he'd knock things over most of the time from his tail wagging in excitement, maybe those times he wouldn't get into that much trouble.

Tango: "Do you think he can come home with us? We could maybe hide him in our room for a bit! I have space under my bed and we have the closet"

Zed nodded, for once agreeing with the small troublemaker. Little did they know how much trouble they would get into.
