A Poet's Progress
By Fox-Trot-910. Dreams: Crossroads
(12/5/08)At this juncture point, I perceive two paths.
One path leads to artful architecture,
The other toward expressive writing—
Each provides a goal.
Which path shall I take?At this juncture point, I see the perils.
One leads to disaster and bankruptcy,
The other toward expressive writing—
Each provides a goal.
Which path shall I take?At this crucial point, I see the rewards.
One leads me to wholesome security,
The other to widespread recognition—
Each provides a goal.
Which path shall I take?At this juncture, I see expectations.
My parents want me in architecture,
But I want the way of literature—
Each provides a goal.
Which path shall I take?At this great juncture, I see two futures.
Both futures show different challenges,
Yet each one excites the pursuit of life—
Each provides a goal.
Which path shall I take?(To be continued...)
A/N: I was thinking way ahead of myself when I wrote this. Even now, I still don't know where I'm gonna go.
