Garroth's Pov:

My heavy eyelids slowly opened. My vision is blurred, so I couldn't see where I am. I did see a figure watching over me. As my vision cleared, my eyes widen once I saw, Laurance. He gave me a sly smile. I watch as he slowly place his hand on my cheek. My fear grew as he done this. "Why are you so scared of me, Garroth." He said in a worried tone of voice. I don't even know if he cares for me or I'm just bait. "Laurance, why are you doing this... You killed Travis and you want to kill my father... What makes you think, I'll love you if you kill them... My father did a stupid mistake, yes, but he doesn't deserve death... Why did you hurt, Travis?... He didn't do nothing to you... Am I crazy one?" I held my chest. "Garroth, you won't understand, I know. Trust me though. I'll protect you." Laurance kiss my cheek. Somehow, Laurance is charming me. He so kind to me, but when it comes to others... He has rage... Maybe, since everyone wanted him exiled from stealing that important statue. It sounds silly, yes, but father told me the statue help stop the bloody war between our kingdom and other. Then again, Laurance wouldn't steal something that important. No matter how much he needed it. "Garroth, understand me. You were the one that know my innocence. My love grew for you, when you tried to protect me that day. I knew you couldn't do anything, since of your position." Laurance caress my cheek. I stand up, until I heard a chain sound. I look to see a magical chain. My eyes widen and darted to Laurance. "I'm sorry, Garroth, but your in my way. I do love you, but I need to finish my work. Then finally we can be together, forever." Laurance makes a evil cackle. Laurance got up and left. He slammed the doors behind him and a click is heard. I knew he locked it. Tears stream down my face. I curled up in a ball. I just couldn't stop crying. Why am I crying? Am I sad or scared? I don't know anymore. Laurance scares me, but I just feel sad for him. My heart is broken. "That's not my Laurance." My tears didn't stop. I laid down and cry myself to sleep, knowing I have failed.

I woke up in a cold sweat. I calm myself and look at my leg. Still stuck here... "I'm such a failure..." I sighed to myself. I can't escape now. I turn my head to the nightstand to see a letter. I lift it up and take a look at it. "I'm happy that you stop trying to escape from me. Don't worry, I'll be back soon and we can have some alone time. Just be patient and I'll protect you for life. Love... Laurance...." I whisper that last part. My heart is broken, but I love Laurance at the same time. Why can't I hate him? He doing such horrible things to others... Am I as mad as Laurance? I probably am... I'm so lost in thought, when I notice a book. It was under the candle handle for some reason. I pick it up and saw it's Laurance's diary. "Dear Diary, I'm living in these woods. It's not bad. I met some nice Sprites. They are annoying, but helpful. My plan is coming to plan though. One day, I'll get you back Garroth. I don't care anymore." I read the first page. Turning it. "Dear Diary, I feel more sick then yesterday. I want this to leave this magical forest, but I'm not ready to fly. I'm only sixteen. I'm afraid... I want to go home. I want to go home to Garroth. Why was it me? I should of tattle tale on...." The rest the page is unreadable. Turning the page. "I hate this! I hate this! I HATE THIS! I want to destroy that king and his stupid helper Ein! I over heard from the village that the King wanted Prince Garroth to marry into royal?! He only seventeen at the moment, but when he eight-teen. He'll have to marry a royal. I can't let Garroth marry to anyone else. I want him to be mine! I'm starting to get a headache. I need rest..." I read. I'm starting to feel Laurance was slowly going crazy from being in that magical forest. I turn the page. "Dear Diary, I'm ready. I found the power I need. Soon, Prince Garroth's eight-teen birthday is coming. Around that time, he is mine. I love you, Garroth. You won't get out my head. Why can't I get you out my head. My love is growing everyday for you." I saw a drawing of me at the bottom. I turn the page. It's the last page. "Dear Diary, this is my last page. Since, I won't need this book anymore. I'll throw it away, so Garroth won't find it. Now, I need to destroy everything and make sure Garroth won't escape me. He won't be able to if I give him all the love he needs. Maybe he stubborn now? Nah, I'm overthinking again. I'm coming Garroth. I love you." I sighed. I put the book back where I found it. Now, I'm thinking about all those things Laurance was saying in his diary. I know, looking in someone else diary isn't nice, but if you were in my shoes, you'll do the same. I was so lost in thought that when the doors opened. I felt my body moved back as I close my eyes tightly. "Prince Garroth." I heard a voice whisper to me. One my eyes open, then they both my eyes widen. Travis stood there totally fine. No injuries, no scratches, he just fine! "Travis? How did you?... I saw you fall off the bridge." I scoot up to the edge. "Thanks to Ms. Irene's Phoenix saving me before I hit the ground. Seems like she been watching over you. She helped me here. We need to go. She waiting." Travis walks up. "How can I get out? Laurance put a magic chain around my ankle..." I tug on it. "Don't worry. Irene gave me this." Travis shows me a orb. He puts it near the magic chain. It snapped apart. "Thank you." I smiled. "No problem. Now, let's get out of here." Travis smiles at me. Jumping off the bed and grabbing Travis' hand.

We slowly made our way to the hallway. We slowly sneak around the guards. Our hands sweat when we saw Laurance talking to other guard. The portal gates closed and locked. We saw the key on the guard. "How are we going to get that key?" Travis whispers. "I'll distract them." I whisper. "Are you sure?" Travis asked. "Yes, just trust me." I spoke. He nodes. Travis sneak away. I walked out and stood straight. "Hey, Laurance." I called out. Laurance turn to me surprise. "Trying to escape again? How did you get out?" Laurance walks up to me. "Well, I don't think it's important how I escape, but I didn't want to escape. I just wanted to see you, but you didn't come back." I pretend to pout and cup my hands. "Oh, I see you finally see it my way." Laurance caress my cheek. "Yeah, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, Laurance." I turn my head. "Your silly if you think that, Garroth. You never hurt me." He smiles at me. I hugged him and he hugged me back. I look up to see Travis grabbing the keys smoothly. He puts a thumb up and jester me to go back to the room. Yeah, Laurance can't know I'm trying to escape again. I'll go to my room and wait, until Laurance leave. "I'll go back to my room. Just don't keep me waiting." I sighed. "I won't, just be good and go to your room." Laurance makes a sly smirk at me. That smirk send a chill up my spine. I turn my back and slowly walk back to my room.

Entering the room and closing it. I'll have to wait until Travis gets me. I waited about a couple of minutes, until I heard Travis. "Your highness. Let's go." Travis whispers. I opened the door. We sneaks by to the portal. Travis unlocks it. We opened the gates and jumped in. We cover our eyes as we pass through the portal. I hit the ground hard. "Ow..." I whisper. "Prince Garroth! Are you alright?" Travis ask. "Yeah, I'm fine." I stood up. "We need to hurry it's almost midnight... Once it's midnight, we'll have to wait until 6:00am." Travis explained. "Then let's go then." I sighed. Travis nodded. We walked down the dirt path to get back on track.

Soon we made it to a small town. "Awe this town seems nice." I smiled. "Everyone is super nice here! They can help us find the mirrors of truth and past, but I need you to put this on." Travis smiles and hands me robes. "Why do I need this?" I asked. "Just in case. Laurance has to notice your gone. He can come here or have the people here watch out for you." Travis said. I sighed and nodded. Putting on the robes, so nobody can tell who I am. We walk up to a large gate. A guard stands near it. She is beautiful young woman. "Oh my Irene... It's Katelyn." Travis sighs, happily. "You know her?" I asked. "Not really, but she the woman I'm in love with." Travis turns his head. "Oh, then how can we get pass her." I asked. "Good question. Let's go ask her." Travis smiles. They walk up to Katelyn. "Holt! Who goes there!" Katelyn stops us. "Hey Katelyn! My friend and I need through to get to a truth." Travis said. "I'll allow you in. If you give me three gold coins. People are not allowed in there, but since I know you. I'll allow you in for three coins." Katelyn holds out her hand. "Do you have any coins?" Travis asked me. I nodded and gave her three gold coins. "Hmm, alright. Your allowed in. I need to go anyways. Sir Laurance is making me search for Prince Garroth. I need that reward money." Katelyn sighs. Katelyn seems like she doesn't have much money. Poor girl. Katelyn walks off, but before she did. She gave us a key. "You ready, Garroth..." Travis whispers. "I'm ready... I need to know..." I sighed. I pushed in the key and twisted it a couple times. We watch as the gates slowly open.

We walked inside to see a beautiful sight. Water surrounds all three mirrors. "Woah..." We both was amazed. "I see you made it this far, Prince Garroth. I hope you know that once you do this. You have one chance to fix the past. First you'll learn the truth. Then go get evidence at the time of the scene, so you can prove that Laurance was framed. Lastly you go to the time were Laurance was framed and show the evidence. Your future will change, but I know you think it's worth it." Aphmau walks up. "I just want to know what happened... Why it happened... I want to save the past. I know Laurance doesn't want to hurt these people, but revenge made him... If I was in his shoes... I'll probably do the same..." I sighed. "Why do you say that, Garroth?" Travis asked. "Think about it. Laurance, had to deal with people wanting him exiled, criticized, and much more. Laurance had to live in such hell. Dealing with people hating him for a stupid statue. That's why I said, I'll do the same." I look down. Travis turns his head away and sighs. "Here, Garroth. This is the first gem to get to the truth." Aphmau handed me a gem. I'm ready to learn the truth. "Laurance, I won't let you down again." I said to myself.
