Ever since we left the farm, it's been harder and harder to find a good sanctuary. I offered that we wait a few weeks and then return to the farm, but Rick said it was too much of a risk.

Rick was different now. He completely ignored Lori. He seemed to ignore me too, which was confusing.

The group was standing over a map that was laid across the hood. Minus Lori who was getting very big. We needed a safe place for her to have the baby.

"Lucy, Rick," Daryl called us to him as he loaded his crossbow.

"Let's go hunt." He said. We followed him out into the woods.

We walked for a long time before we came across a prison filled with walkers. I surveyed the 2 rows of barbed wire fence and metal walls.

"Shame." Daryl mumbled.

"This could work." I muttered. Both men looked at me. I didn't take my eyes off the prison when I answered, "We could live here."

We went back and got our group and brought them to the prison. Glenn cut a hole in the fence. Rick went in first. I let Lori go ahead of me. Afterwards, Glenn fixed the fence back up and we stood staring at our new home.

"Look at all the grass." Carol said happily. I smiled.

"Ok," Rick began, "we need to clear the yard first."

"I'll go." Glenn offered.

"No." Maggie shot him down.

"No, I'll go." Rick said.

"Wait, Rick," I said grabbing his arm to stop him. "I can go. You've got a baby coming. Besides I can handle myself."

He looked very hesitant but said, "Fine," I turned ready to go.

Maggie, Glenn, and Herschel stood and banged on the fence, trying to draw the walkers attention.

Carol, Rick, Daryl and Carl began sniping the walkers.

I nodded at Lori, signaling her to open the fence. I ran down the dirt path pass, shooting a walker every now and then. I heard a round fire off and dirt flew up in front of my toe. I had to jump back to avoid it. I looked up to see Carol looking guilty.

"Sorry." She yelled down.

I rolled my eyes and kept running. I was just about there when a walker got a little too close. A crossbow bolt sunk into its head. I turned back to see Daryl reloading his crossbow. I began to run again but stopped and ran back to get his bolt. I shut the fence and ran to the guard tower. I smiled in victory as I climbed to the top and began picking the last ones off.

They opened the gates and ran in. I climbed out of the tower and met up with them in the yard.

"Oh look at all of this space!" Carol said as she plopped down on the ground, where we were building a campfire.

Herschel asked Beth to sing and Maggie and I soon joined in.

After Beth finished her song, Herschel smiled kindly at her and said, "Beautiful."

She smiled, and shyly looked down.

"That's his fourth time around." Daddy said motioning to Rick.

I sighed. "I'll go talk to him." I said as I got up.

Lori jumped up and said, "No, I'm his wife. I should talk to him." She glared at me as she walked by. I rolled my eyes.

I laid down on a blanket as Beth began to sing another song. My eyes got heavier and heavier until I fell asleep.
