Daddy left. Probably to the bar. Beth was a crying mess. The group had a ceremony for Sophia. I was sitting on the couch next to Maggie when Rick came into the house.
"Where's Herschel?" He asked us.
"He left." I answered quietly.
"To where?" Rick asked quickly.
I sighed, "Probably to the bar in town. He use to have a drinking problem, that's probably where he is."
"I'm going after him. Glenn's coming too. Lucy, your father won't listen to just us. Are you coming too?" He asked.
I sighed, "This is your mess, you fix it."
He looked at me with soft eyes and nodded. He headed off towards the cars. I watched them drive away. I walked back into the kitchen. Beth was washing dishes and Lori, Maggie, and Andrea were in the kitchen too.
Beth suddenly collapsed to the floor. We rush to her and I felt her pulse. She had her eyes open but she couldn't move. She was in shock.
With the help of Jimmy, we moved her into her bedroom. She was lying on her bed with Maggie holding her hand.
"What's wrong with her?" Lori asked.
"She's in shock. Probably from seeing her mom....." I couldn't finish.
"What can you do for her?" Andrea asked.
"I can't really do anything. I'll need Herschel." I answer.
"Rick's going to find him." Lori said.

A few hours passed and the men still weren't back yet. Beth was still in shock. I was super stressed out. Technically I was in charge of the farm since daddy was gone.
Lori had decided to go after Rick. I told her to trust in Rick and wait for him to come back, but she completely ignored me. A little while after she left, Shane went after her. However, I could care less if they never returned.
I sat on the bed with Beth and put my head in my hands. I turned to look at her.
"Your gonna be okay. I won't let anything happen to you, I promise." I said quietly.
I heard Charlie barking on the porch, alerting us that someone was driving down our driveway. I peered out the window to see Rick and Glenn had returned. I took a finale peek at Beth before a ran down the stairs and outside to the car. I saw Glenn and Rick and Herschel step out if the car. I smiled in relief and made my way towards them. My smile dropped when I saw them pick up a wounded kid and drag him out of the car.
Charlie was growling as they pulled him into the small shed we had.
I grabbed Rick. "Who the h*ll is that?" I demanded.
"We ran into him in town, he was hurt. We couldn't just leave him to die." Rick replied.
"You can't just bring another mouth to feed onto our farm." I pointed out as I brushed pass him and got daddy.
Daddy visited Beth and fixed the problem. He sat in there with her for the rest if the day. He told me what to do in case that ever happened again. I felt useless in the ordeal.
I went to Maggie's room again. Not because I had to, but because I felt like I needed to have her with me. She was always my best friend, even when we were kids. Her and Beth were the only true friends I had throughout my life. I loved both of them SO much, but I was a little closer with Maggie. Probably because she was closer to my age.
I had a hard time going to sleep that night. I pet Charlie as I fell to sleep.
