I bent down and fed Charlie. I rubbed his head, as he ate his dog food. Earlier today, I checked on Daryl. He said he wasn't going to sit around anymore. He was fine to move around anyway.
I walked out onto the porch. I saw Glenn stomping away from the barn.
Oh no.
Maggie chased after him and stood in front of him. She talked quietly and nervously. They exchanged a few words before Glenn nods, reluctantly. They go their separate ways.
I run off the porch and grab Maggie and pull her behind the house.
"What did you tell him?" I ask nervously.
"I-I had to. He saw them." Maggie looked down.
"Maggie, he'll tell everyone! Daddy will be furious!" I whisper/yelled.
"There was nothing I could do. I told him not to tell anyone." She said.
I sighed and ran my hand threw my thick hair. "We should stay away from them today."
Maggie nods and we go our different ways once more. I work around the the farm until it starts to get dark. I head over to the house but stop when I hear yelling. I run in the direction of the yelling to see the group gathered around Rick and daddy. I push my way to Beth and see that Rick had a walker on a stick/leash. He and daddy were arguing with Shane.
"There not sick, Herschel" Shane taunted. "Can a sick person take a round to the chest?"
He whipped out his handgun and shot the walker daddy had in the chest.
Charlie barked and growled at the two walkers. I held him back by his collar (Which was not easy).
Shane began shooting more rounds into the walkers chest as he continued to taunt daddy.
Rick was furious, "Shane, enough!"
"Yeah, that is enough." Shane hissed as he shot the two walkers in the head.
Daddy dropped to the ground. I rushed over to him. I knew that walker, she was our neighbor.
"Get off my farm." I snapped at Shane. I stood daddy up and we walked back to the house.
::::::::::::::::::
I checked myself in the mirror one last time before leaving for downstairs. I had on a pair of tightly fitting, grey jeans, a dark red plaid shirt, that went to me elbows, and my black boots.
I walked down to the living room, where Beth sat, reading a book. She looked up a gave a small gasp.
"What?" I ask, cautiously.
"Nothin', you just look really beautiful." She said closing her book.
I smiled kindly at her. "No, your beautiful."
She blushed and looked down.
"Where is everyone?" I ask walking to the window and peering out.
"I don't know where the visitors are but daddy and Patricia are in the kitchen-"
Beth was cut off by people yelling outside. She and I ran out to the porch. The visitors were gathered around the barn. They were yelling and Shane ran to the barn door. Oh no.
I ran over to them with Beth, daddy, Maggie, and Patricia following close behind.
When I got to the barn, Rick's eyes met mine for a split second then returned to Shane.
"Come on, Rick." Shane said as he yanked on the lock on the barn door, causing the infected inside to rustle. "Lets you and me take care of this right now."
Rick looked furious as Shane yanked open the barn door and walkers piled out. The group lined up to shoot the walkers. Daddy sunk to his knees as the walkers fell lifelessly to the ground, one by one. I put my hand on his shoulder as I watched my neighbors and friends die once more. The valley echoed with gunfire. Charlie ran forward and jumped on a walker, taking her down. The last walker fell to the ground after Rick fired.
I was about to go off on Shane, when a small snarl from the barn. All heads turned towards the door as a small figure appeared. The small walker wore a rainbow shirt, and short, blonde hair. She stumbled out towards us.
"Sophia!" Carol cried as she ran to her daughter. Daryl caught her and held her as she sunk to the ground, crying for Sophia.
Oh no. My mouth fell open and my eyes grew wide. I knew she was in there this whole time, but I didn't want to except the fact.
No one talked. No one moved. No one did anything, not even Shane. I sighed and walked over to Rick as Sophia neared. I grabbed the Python in his holster, in his hip and walked to her. I heard Carol's desperate cries as I aimed the gun to Sophia's head. I gave a shaky breath as I pulled the trigger. Sophia sunk to the ground and I walked back to Rick and handed him his gun. He looked at me with something in his eyes that I had never seen before.
Beth cried out and ran to a walker on the ground. She knelt down next to the walker and cried. It was Mom.
The walker jolted to life suddenly, and grabbed for Beth. Maggie rushed over with Glenn. Glenn stomped the head in of my mother. Beth was baling as Maggie and I began to take her inside, with Charlie trotting behind.
I heard daddy say, "I want you off my farm."
