A/N; we officially hit chapter 25!

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Lucy's POV.

Followed by the truck, were bullets spaying everywhere. My hand flew to my gun on my hip. I whipped it out and aimed. I shot four rounds at the white van before it spun around and released walkers in the field.

The Governor's men shot in my direction and I quickly got down on the ground. The bullets went right over my head. I crawled through the grass towards the prison, now really praying there weren't any snakes.

I crawled on my belly feeling the small blades of grass cut my arms, but that was the least of my worries. I heard the van peel out down the road as well as the other trucks.

I peeked my head over the grass only to come face-to-face with a gnarly female biter. I gave a small yelp and shot her in the eye. She fell to the ground and several others replaced her.
I jumped up from the ground and stumbled away from the small heard. All of sudden, our black truck pulled up and stopped a few feet in front of me. Michonne jumped out of the bed of the truck and sliced at the head of a random biter.

"Get in!" Glenn yelled from the drivers seat.

I wasted no time doing just that. I jumped in the backseat and slammed the door shut behind me. Michonne jumped back on the bed of the pickup. Glenn stepped on the gas and peeled out, going towards the prison building.

"Wait, we have to help Rick!" I noted and spun around in my seat to look for him. I spotted him caught up by the outer fence. A male walker was viciously trying to bite him. More were littered around him. All of the shooting must have attracted them.

I looked at Glenn, hoping he'd do something, but Glenn looked like he was trying to plan a safe way to get to Rick.

I spun back around. I reached for my door handle, while watching Rick frantically trying to throw the walker off of him.

Then, an arrow pierced the head of the biter and it fell to the ground. Another arrow sunk into the head of another biter that had gotten too close to Rick.

Daryl!

Running out of the woods, came Daryl and his brother. Merle stabbed a biter in the head with his bad arm and Daryl shot another with his signature crossbow. They made a strange - kinda hillbilly - pare, but a good one.

"Is that Daryl?" Glenn asked in disbelief.

"He's back." I breathed with a smile creeping on my face.

Glenn turned the truck back around and pulled up by the now broken gates. We jumped out and helped the three get inside the fence.

Michonne and I pulled the gates as shut as they would go, and Glenn wrapped a red cord through to secure it.

I turned to Daryl and smiled widely. I ran over to him and hugged his chest. It had been a few days since I saw him last, and I was worried sick about him.

I squeezed him hard, thanking the Lord that he was still okay. I could feel him tense up and he gently pushed me away, like always.

"I'm so glad your safe." I smiled up at him.

I saw the corner of his mouth tug up, showing a small smirk. It was a rare moment for Daryl. Unfortunately, the moment ended when Glenn spoke up.

"We need to get inside, come on." He said and we all got into the black truck and drove up to the prison. I jumped out of the truck, slamming the door behind me.

Beth ran over and hugged me tightly. "I saw the truck burst through the gates. Lucy, I was so scared you were gonna get hurt."

"Hey," I said gently, "I'm okay. Glenn and Michonne came in and helped me. I'm still here. Don't you worry about me."

She broke the hug and gave me a worried smile. Maggie and Herschel walked over as well as Carol and Carl.

"What happened?!" Carl asked in shock.

"Governor broke through the gates. He sent walkers in and then he left." Rick explained with a p*ssed expression.

"Yes, and Lucy was out there. He could have killed her." Beth spoke up as she grabbed me hand protectively in her own.

"What were you doing out there anyhow?" My father asked and I froze.

I peeked at Rick and saw he was already looking at me with an emotionless look. I felt myself glare at him. He hurt me. He broke my heart after I thought that he loved me.

"Nothing," I said coldly as I released Beth's hand and brushed pass everyone to go inside the prison.

I was angry with him. I was angry with myself for allowing those feelings to creep into my heart. I was angry with this world! With everything!

I stomped to the area where we were planning on making showers. I went to the far wall and leaned my back against it. I let my knees buckle and I slowly slid down the concrete wall until I was on the floor.

I felt hot tears prick my eyes, but I refused to let any fall. I buried my face in my knees. My hair fell around my face like a black curtain.

"Lucy?" A voice called out from the doorway, leaving a slight echo in the room.

I didn't even bother to look up. I knew who it was.

"Leave me alone, Maggie." I muttered loud enough to her to hear, hoping that she would go away.

Nonetheless, I heard her boots scuff against the floor, coming in my direction. Then, I felt her lower herself beside me.

"Lucy, what happened out there?" Her steady voice asked.

I sighed, "Nothing,"

"Lucy," she said with a no-none-sense- tone.

She gently pulled back my curtain of hair and tucked it behind my ear.

"Ugh, fine. I went out to talk with Rick because he seemed like he needed someone to snap him back together. Well, we were talking and he got upset. I said something and then he turned around and yelled, "your not my family." It hurt Maggie. His words physically hurt." I explained.

She was silent for a moment.

"He's a deadman." She mumbled angrily and stood.

I shot up beside her and grabbed her hand before she could walk away.

"No, Maggie don't!"

"Don't what? He made you think he loved you and then he tore you up inside. I'm gonna teach him a lesson about love." She hissed and yanked her hand away.

"No, please don't. That's embarrassing. Please don't go confront him." I begged her.

She thought for a minute and then nodded, "Fine, but he's gonna get a lot of death glares from me."

I inwardly sighed with relief, "Thanks, Mags,"

"Whatever, come here." She opened her arms out for a sisterly hug.

I gladly hugged her, and she held tightly onto me. I felt hot tears streaming down my cheeks and falling on Maggie grey t-shirt. She didn't seem to care though, because she held me there for a long time.

A/N; sorry it took forever for me to update, I've just Ben busy with homeschooling and getting ready to move.

Don't worry, Rick and Lucy are still getting together. ;-)
