The Wrong Girl to Mess With

Chapter 7

"There's nothing to eat, should I make something?", I said as I walked towards the stove.

"Um no don't do that", Axel said .

"Why not?", I asked.

"Remember in home-ec you almost burned down the school.

"Oh yeah that", I said sheepishly.

"Lets check the fridge for something", he said.

We found sandwiches stacked up on the top shelf , we grabbed a few and went back upstairs.

"Let's go to our room", Axel said.

So we went there and he opened the door to it and we saw Nichole and David talking . They were facing the window so they couldn't see us .

"Um..so what did you want to tell me?", Nichole asked.

"Yeah um... about that-", David started speaking but he turned around and saw us.

"GET OUT!", he yelled and Nichole turned around abruptly.

"What are you two doing here!?", Nichole yelled once she saw us.

"Nothing, geez we'll go ", I said and walked out.

"Argh why did you leave?", Axel asked when we were in the hallway.

"David wouldn't say it if we were there so we leave, come on ", I said and walked downstairs.

"Where are you going?", Axel asked but yet followed me.

Once I reached the kitchen I set the plate down on the table and said, " Come outside now".

Once we were out I pointed towards the bench near the picnic table and told Axel to bring it over to under their room.

"You know how David takes about a exactly 2 minutes to calm down once he's mad, so it should be about 2 minutes now, so you stand on this and carry me on your shoulders ", I said to him.

So Axel stood on the bench I sat on his shoulders. Lucky for us Axel's really tall. They left the window open so it was easier for us to hear them. I heard David's footsteps and the little creak the bed makes when someone sits on it.

"So um.. what I wanted to tell is um.. can you be date me- no wait will you be my girlfriend?", David said.

"WHAT!", I yelled forgetting that we were spying on them.

Axel was shocked by that and even more shocked when I yelled , he staggered back.

"Woah Axel-AHH!", I yelled as we both fell down.

Nichole and David came running to the balcony.

"What were you two doing now?", Nichole asked.

"Nothing ", I said getting up and pulling Axel up with me.

"You've got to eavesdropping ", David said.

"Who said we were eavesdropping ", I said.

"Come on lets go in", Axel said.

The two of us went indoors and I found two icepacks in the fridge. I handed one to Axel who was sitting on the kitchen table. I clamped the icepack to the back of my head and groaned, "We couldn't even find out Nichole's answer".

"Seriously you're worried about that , we could've been killed!", Axel yelled.

"But we weren't so appreciate that", I said.

The door opened and the others walked in. Cole , Jake and Meghan looked exhausted but Bella looked cheerful . When they saw me and Axel they eyes narrowed .

"What happened to you two?", Bella asked.

We knew we couldn't tell what we heard to Bella since she had a crush on David.

"Um it's nothing...we fell down", I said.

"Ok..", Bella said suspiciously .

Bella's parents haven't got back yet so we found some leftover chicken and salad which Bella and Nichole heated up since the rest of us couldn't do a simple task like that without burning down the house.

"Axel, Riley be honest what happened to you two?", Bella asked.

"Like she said , we fell", Axel answered.

"No way could you two would've hit the back of your heads, how did you fall?", Bella asked.

We looked at each other speechless .

"I tackled them to the ground", David said quickly.

"Wow David you're that strong?", Bella asked.

After that she was distracted admiring David's strength and all I could do was roll my eyes as David pretended what he said was real. While they were talking I turned to Nichole who was sitting next to me and whispered , "What was your answer for what David asked?".

"I um.. said yes ", Nichole shuttered.

I smiled at her and turned my attention back to Bella who was still admiring David. After dinner I made sure that Cole and Bella did the dishes. I then took Meghan and Jake to the living room and told them everything

"Congratulations man", Jake said high-fiving David

"Listen, Cole and Bella can't know about this", David said .

Meghan and Jake nodded.

"But guys I feel guilty to keep this from Bella, she's my BFF", Nichole.

"Another reason to not to tell her, you don't want her to be hurt do you?", I asked.

Nichole sighed but nodded.

"Guys what are you'll talking about?", Cole said entering the room with Bella.

"About what we're gonna do tomorrow ", I said quickly before they could aske anymore questions.

We then went to our rooms , changed into our pajamas and went to sleep.
