*Phoebus' POV

I talked to Esmeralda's stylist to see if I could have the last moments with her. Luckily she didn't ask any questions.

Esmeralda came in the room crying. "I can't do this. You have to forget about me because there is no way I'm coming back alive."

"You can't-" I started to tell her, but she quickly cut me off.

"What I can't do is keep listening to this crap. Everybody keeps telling me to have hope. And you know what I have right now?! Nothing. Hope isn't doing anything for me."

"There's 3 seconds left, so just let me talk. I love you. You are beautiful and I'm going to try my hardest to keep you alive."

She rushed over to the transporter. I gave her a kiss as she cried.

"I love you too." She whispered.

*Phillip's POV

I am raised to a forest, nothing out of the ordinary. I frantically look for Aurora and she is no where to be seen.

The arena is alarmed with a loud ring and everyone runs off their pedestal.

I don't know where to look first. The girls could be anywhere. I dart towards a random part of the woods and look for any signs of the girls.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see someone.

Walking.

With that attitude she won't last very long.

I jog up to her. Maybe she can tell me where Aurora is. I'll make an alliance with her.

"Please don't be scared." I tap her on the shoulder and she whips around with a knife in her hand.

"You're lover boy."

"And you are..."

"Belle."

"Right. Belle, I need your help."

"How is this going to help me?"

"An alliance." Belle lowers her knife. I don't remember anything special about her. Hopefully she's smart because I've learned that that's all you need to survive.

"Okay. I'm guessing this has something to do with your girlfriend."

"I need to find Aurora."

"How'd I know?"

"I can give you anything in return."

She chuckles. "The obvious, don't let me die. And help me kill Adam."

I agree, even though I can't imagine killing anyone. When the time comes I'll watch guard, I tell myself.

My mind is racing. Thankfully, none of the cannons have gone off.

But it makes me wonder why. I don't ever remember watching Games that no one dies by the cornucopia.

"If I were to guess I think Aurora would have gone the opposite direction of me since I haven't seen her, or anyone, yet." Belle says as she points to the right.

"Thank you Belle. I have to find her."

The sun started to set and we accomplished nothing. I can't find Aurora and she could be anywhere.

"You sleep, I will stay on guard for tonight." Belle looked like she was going to pass out when we were walking. If she doesn't get sleep now, she won't be able to walk tomorrow morning.

"Are you sure," she mumbled. She was already sleeping against a tree. We weren't very hidden, but I don't think I'll be getting any sleep. A cannon could go off at any moment, I need to be alert.

I hear a snap through in the darkness and I steal Belle's knife.

When I look from behind the tree, it's Adam.

I can't and won't do this.

I wait for him to pass, and hold my breath. Thankfully, he doesn't see me, but if this ever gets to Belle, I don't want to think about what she would do.

She doesn't seem like the violent type, but the girl has a brain. When we were walking, she was telling me what plant was poisonous and not. I probably should have paid more attention.

I can imagine one morning, she goes to find berries, and then. Dead.

I sit down trying to contain my thoughts and dream of Aurora. I look at the stars, probably not even real.

I'll find her soon enough.
