Drinks were shared throughout the night. Laughs could be heard all around the base. They were happy. You remained in the corner brooding with the glass of water. You had no intention of socializing with them. "You don't have to stand in the corner brooding all night. Come have a drink with me, kid! You're old enough now!" Yami held a bottle of something out in your direction. "I'm not an idiot, Yami. I would rather chew off my own foot. Ask one of your subordinates." You looked at him coldly before turning your head away from their direction. "Suit yourself. Offers there though." He wasn't going to just accept your answer; you rolled your eyes, 'of course.'

The Black Bulls were a family, they always had been. Zenon immediately became a part of that family when Yami gave him his robe. Yami has assured you that you were too, but you never listened to him. You wanted nothing to do with them. You left them the first chance you got. You didn't believe that the bond they shared made up for the damage and pain they'd caused. Their actions made no sense. You didn't understand how they justified their actions. You chose to stay with Julius when you were left all alone rather than Yami. Julius was righteous and strove for a righteous future; it just so happened that a Messiah complex bastard shared his body and betrayed you. Wasn't the first time you'd been betrayed so it wasn't a new feeling. Even so, you jumped at the opportunity to leave the Black Bulls. You couldn't forgive their actions. You couldn't forgive people who think their destructive actions were righteous. They weren't the righteous ones. 'Although, has anyone really been truly righteous since he left? He was one of a kind. Perhaps the only one in existence.' You questioned yourself.

You'd missed most of the sullen glances Nacht had been giving you all night. His eyes weren't their usual brightness. His sarcasm and witty retorts had all but vanished, he was unusually quiet all night. No one dared to question it because both you and Nacht could quickly become very scary people; people they didn't want to mess with. Nacht was happy you were here, but it still hurt him to remember you were mad at him. You hated him- you admitted that to him yourself. Your actions were growing colder towards him and all he wanted was to hug you, let you know he was still here for you no matter what. However, you weren't that little boy he'd always seen you as anymore. You'd grown up to fast for comfort.

"I swear it, big bro!" The young boy's smiling face lit up in front of Nacht. Nacht could swear that the brightness that radiated off of him could blind anyone with it's light. "So, you'll get big a strong, while not letting anyone control how you live your life?" Nacht raised an eyebrow at the child. The boy nodded, "yup! That way I can be like you as well! Big and strong!" His happy grin melted Nacht' heart; however, the older simply turned his head away and pet the top of the younger boy's head, "yeah, yeah."

"You good, Nacht?" Yami's voice snapped him from his much-longed memories. He almost wished Yami hadn't snapped him from it. "I'm fine Yami. What the Hell are you even talking about?" Nacht playfully scoffed at Yami, keeping his composure. "Huh? I'm referring to the tear falling down your face. And you call me an idiot." Nacht quickly lifted a hand to his face. Yami wasn't lying, there was a tear falling down his cheek. He quickly wiped it away, leaving no evidence. How did he not notice? Nacht watched you from the distance, himself sitting beside Yami on the couch. He could feel his own heart crying but didn't think the salty liquid would actually escape his eyes. Nacht usually had a really good handle on his emotions no matter what; you were his soul exception.

Your attention had grown more focused on the low-ranked devil that openly socialized with the Black Bulls. Your eyes bore into the creatures back, watching him closely and cautiously. Just seeing him made your fists tighten even more; if it weren't for the gloves, your hands would be dripping with red right now. You had guarantee that the devil before you wouldn't harm or even kill anyone. You had no guarantee he wasn't evil. His kind spoke enough for him in your eyes. He could smile and laugh with idiots like the Black Bulls, but there was no such thing as a good devil in your eyes. Which was why you were at the ready as soon as you saw him. Ready to fight him should the time arise before you.
