You hadn't spoken to any of the Black Bulls since that day, not even to Zenon. Zenon understood why you had become colder, harder, lost even more emotions from your eyes, which was why he didn't pester you, didn't speak to you unless he was happily greeting you or you'd spoke to him first. Letting you have your space and time was what he thought was best. You hadn't heard a peep from or about Nacht since that night either. You weren't quite sure how many more enemies you'd just made out of your allies, at the same time you didn't care. There was no point. They were the fools who started that, so they better have been prepared for an answer they didn't like.
Unfortunately, you had to attend a Captain's meeting in the place of your Captain today. Which meant interacting with Yami. You weren't sure how it would exactly go down; however worst-case scenario Julius was there. You didn't even care if Yami attacked you. There was no point in worrying about such trivial things. You just walked down the hall of the castle in your cloak, your hands gloved, and your face as cold and unforgiving as usual. Any capital mages that saw you knew not to get in your way or to stop you. They were all afraid anyway.
You arrived at the large double wooden doors. Taking a breath before hesitantly opening the doors. Rill, Jack, and Yami were still missing, however the other captains were already seated, Julius up the front. "Good Morning, (Y/N). Thank you for joining us" Julius sent you a warm smile. You saluted to him before taking your seat silently. "It has become an occurrence to see you at our meetings. While I do enjoy seeing Captain Anderson from time to time, I also enjoy your presence in these meetings. After all, you are a hard worker for someone so young." Fuegoleon nodded to you acknowledging your presence, you ignoring him.
Nozel was irked by your actions, "you should be more respectful when it comes to your superiors. You are nothing but a child compared to us." Your dulled eyes lifted to meet Nozel's irritated ones, "how much do you want to bet on that?" Nozel's jaw clenched as he resisted the urge to attack you then and there. "Calm down Nozel, give the boy a break" Charlotte ordered. "I agree. While he may be showing you disrespect, he is also in attendance with this meeting because he is a high rank in the White Wolves squad. He is the one Ofelia left in charge of her squad" Kaiser backed. "All of you, please just leave him be. There's no point in arguing. It is clear by the distain he shows that he has no interest in socializing, just the work to be done." William intervened. Your (E/C) eyes locked with his purple iris' for a moment before breaking away just as quickly.
"I know you all must find it usual to have someone so young that is not a captain attend these meetings, however I can assure you that (Y/N) has very well earnt his place here. He's worked very hard and come very far over the years. After all, he's been helping our kingdom since before he attained his own grimoire." Julius vouched for you with a smile. You shifted your gaze to Julius while he wasn't looking at you. You couldn't quite see what Morgen saw in him, but you could see some things to a certain degree. Julius was his captain, so you had some respect for him; even more so since he was the Wizard King. You could spot many similarities between your brother and him; their beliefs, their cheerfulness, how they defended everyone. It's no wonder they got along so well.
"Hey guys!" Rill entered joyful through the doors. He immediately stopped and pouted, 'why's their always such a sullen mood in here.' "What've you all been chatting about?" Rill inquired. "Why you're so late." Nozel deadpanned. Rill didn't seem to be bothered by Nozel's actions, instead chirping back up, "in my defense I had to sort out a patrol allocation mix up!" "And that is your excuse for being ten minutes late?" "Now, now, Rill stayed behind to look after him squad. That alone shows that he puts his squad above anyone else" Julius supported him. "I agree with Lord Julius" William nodded in agreement. You didn't agree with Rill being late, but you also couldn't argue with the reasoning Julius put forth- it was the way your captain was.
