The Bride In Black

Part 22

Little light came through except the moonlight that seemed to be coming though mostly from a window overlooking the luna courtyard, The walls and floors as they had always been, dark wood that seemed to suck all the light from the world. and there it stood. 

This.... thing.

This Creature. 

It stood at almost six feet tall. 

The main body was Covered in patches of this grey and black mattered fur.

Thin skeletal black legs at a right angle, that seemed to crawl on feet with sharp nails.

its arms had the same black skeletal structure as the legs but folded back in them where black wings were thin enough you could see the veins and pulsing blood inside them, it crawling again on these little clawed feet. 

Its face... this large orb of black and grey fur, a scar across its left eye. Their eye right red with black surrounding them. 

Tall triangular ears pointed high often twitching and moving.

The nose of a black pig.

And this huge elongated mouth full of razor-sharp teeth.

It was like a human-sized bat.

It hissed and snarled at times screching as its ears and nose moved clearly looking for me.

I held my breath trying to keep myself concealed and hidden as it continued down the corridor assuming I had continued to run. 

I tried to be quiet as I left the cupboard and ran as fast as I could through the house, but that tipped off the creature and it began chasing me again I did my best to be smart but given I still didn't know my way around and honestly this old house seemed to be like a moving maze, doors and corridors not being as I remembered as if it was changing to insure my detriment luckily I found the library from earlier so I ran inside and slammed the doors shut behind me holding my robe tightly as I got my breath back
