I bolted through the house as fast as possible using all the little secret tunnels he had shown me yesterday even if I knew he was following me but luckily I found martin

"Something the matter miss?" 

"Somethings wrong with Thomas!"

"what's wrong?" 

"He's gone crazy!" I yelled "his eyes have gone this glowing red, he keeps trying to bite me"

"Oh no. Okay. Right I will uhh inform his mother" He says slightly in fear "You get down to the cellar miss" 

I nodded and ran as fast as I could down to the cellar, hearing the cluttering and clattering all the while above me. After a while the door opened and My fear grew and honestly wasn't relieved that much upon seeing his mother standing there. she quickly shut the door and spoke up

"what have you done to my son!"
"Me! I didn't do anything he went crazy!"
"What exactly is wrong?"
"His eyes they went this glowing red and he tried to bite me" I explained showing her wrist
"What happened"
"I told you -'
"Tell me! Tell me exactly what happened."
"I woke up and had a bath, I decided to shave my legs and I accidentally cut my skin" I explained and her head fell into her hands
"Let me guess. You let him drink"
"He was insistent. Pleading with me. I didn't think it mattered"
"You foolish girl!" She yelled slapping my face
"It's not my fault"
"Who else's is it then!"
"He drinks with you an Ava all the time I didn't think it would be a problem"
"Your blood is different." She sighed "the blood we drink is merely mortal blood half the time I don't even know where it came from" she explained "but you are different. Because he loves you. He adores you. And when a vampire loves a human they desire them beyond measure. There blood can be smelt for miles, often times the first time a vampire will taste the blood of the one they love will be the night they mate. Thomas. Has been alone for a very long time, lillibeth was over four hundred years ago. You can't imagine how hungry he is for blood that has a satisfying taste. You should not have allowed him to drink"
"Well I didn't know."
"It's fine" she sighed "he should have controlled himself. Come on we need to sort this out. Before it gets out of hand"
"Miss! My lady!" We heard as Martin rushed in his jacket ripped a scar across his face
"Martin are you alright?" I asked
"It's happened" he says
"What - what's happened?" I asked trying to help his wounds and I looked at the scar on his face like... A claw and a fear across his mother's face
"May God have mercy." She says before heading out so I followed her
"What? What's happened!"
"It appears. We may be too late to control the situation."
