*District 21: Bullpen*
Ana walked into the large area after hearing from Trudy about how one of Adam's CIs was murdered while trying to gain information on the G Park Lords.
"Hey. What do we have?" She wondered, heading over to her desk and nodding softly at Hank on the way by.
"M.E. found fragments consistent with a -millimeter, but there's no clean rifling impressions, so it's a dead end." Hailey muttered, taping a photo of them to the whiteboard before moving back to her desk
"Okay, where we at with the G-Park Lords?" The older man inquired.
"Patrol and Tact grabbed about ten of 'em. They're eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in lockup, not talking." Jay reported from where he was perched on a corner of his desk.
Hank just shared a look with his wife and grunted in reply.
"Well, at least we do have an idea of who Ava was supposed to drop the dime on." Kevin spoke up, flipping through a file. "Her phone records indicate that she was tight with two self-admitted G-Park Lords known as the Page cousins, uh, Daniel and Xavier. Xavier's actually an ex-boyfriend."
"Okay, do we have eyes on Xavier?" Ana inquired.
"Yes, we do, in the Danville penitentiary. He was scooped up a couple months ago for an unrelated distro charge, so that's another dead end, and so is his cousin, Daniel, because he was on Instagram Live when Ava was killed." The dark skinned Officer explained.
"Okay, we got anything else? Ava's cell phone, social media. Any threats?" Hank listed in question while pacing around the brunette a bit.
"She didn't have a social media presence. Most of her calls were to friends or Xavier." Adam shook his head, scanning his notepad. "Her last phone call was an hour before her murder, uh, to her P.O, Gary Franklin.
"Okay, you guys go talk to him and see if he can tell us anything about Ava." Ana ordered and the two Officers were rushing towards the Basement/Garage Area before she was even finished talking.
"Jay, Hailey, keep knocking on doors." Hank added, dropping a gentle kiss into the short woman's hair before turning and heading into his Office.
"Yeah, on it." The male Detective nodded.
*Interrogation Area: A Little While Later*
Ana and Trudy were standing near the photo copier at the end of the main hallway. The two women had been making idle chatter when the door to one of the rooms opened and the men they were waiting for came out.
"Hey, Kev." The desk Sergeant greeted.
The Officer nodded in reply and continued on his way towards the Bullpen.
"Henry." The brunette made a gesture that told the older man they wanted to talk to him.
Trudy waited until Kevin was completely out of earshot before continuing.
"We thought you should know Burgess is looking at desk jobs." She revealed, quietly.
Hank, being alone with the two women he trusted the most, allowed the concern to be visible on his face.
"You talk to her?" He inquired.
"Not yet. Just Ruzek." The Desk Sergeant shook her head. "Nothing's set in stone, but there is an opening in Narcotics."
"Guys." Hailey appeared in the doorway before anyone else could speak. "Call came in over the zone. Witness saw a possible rape in a back alley off Racine. Victim took off running, but the offender jumped into a black SUV with tinted windows." She reported.
