*Lakeside University: Near Robbins Dorm: Nighttime*
"Adam." Hank called, walking up to the younger man with Ana at his side.
"Sorry if I pulled you guys in on something here." He apologized.
"It's fine, Trudy filled us in." The brunette assured before adopting a concerned expression. "How is your friend's daughter doing?"
"She's on her way to Med to get checked out. Seems fine. She's got crazy, high tolerance. Told her not to say a word. It's just there's a problem." The Officer sighed, recieving a grunt in return. "She's on Narcotics' radar. She's been delivering product for some dealer named Wade. I can't feed her to Narcotics. With them, she'll never get out."
"You hit the streets alone, don't notify us, so we now we got ODs and a narco case." Hank listed quite bluntly.
"Henry." Ana rolled her eyes. "He was just trying to help his friend."
"I'm aware." The older man nodded, not looking away from the younger. "I just wanna know if we're missing anything. That's all."
"No." Adam shook his head.
"All right, we'll take it. I'll handle Narcotics." Hank offered, gaze softening back into it's usual stony gaze after sensing no lies off him.
"Thanks, Boss." He murmured.
*District 21: Bullpen: The Following Morning*
"A'ight, where are we?" Hank demanded, walking in from the Interrogation Area with Ana at his side.
"Olivia spent the night at Med, she got the all clear. She's on her way back as we speak." Adam reported.
"Okay, so what else do we know about this dealer, Donald Wade?" Ana wondered, sitting down at her desk while her husband took his usual spot next to her.
"All right, he's got one felony for agg batt. He's a person of interest in two narcotics-induced homicides. He sells opioids that are manufactured south of the border, and he's got a little empire built for himself dealing to college kids. But he's not your average dealer. He's also a user." Jay revealed from where he was standing to the left of the whiteboard.
"Wade's house was hit three times by Narcotics. All raids came back negative. No ledgers, no cut, not even a baggie." Hailey listed from her desk. "The guy's smart and extremely paranoid."
"Hell yeah, he's paranoid, 'cause his number two got pinched last year. Got caught on his third delivery charge." Kevin spoke up, rushing over and taping a photo next to Wade's on the whiteboard. "This ass-clown right here, Tony Hoban. Decided to start singing to cut a deal. Before Tony Hoban even get locked in with the Grand Jury, they found his body bobbin' in the lake."
"All right, so we got a violent, paranoid dealer with trust issues." Hank summarized, glancing down at his wife before turning to Adam. "Do we risk putting Olivia in play so we can cut her a deal?"
"Yeah, that's good." He nodded. "Keep her safe."
*Hank's Office: A Little While Later*
"So she said Wade gives her about a week's worth of pills each time. She delivered pills to the students in the dorm three days ago." Adam recalled.
"Does Wade know that more of his customers OD'd?" Ana inquired from the doorway and he turned to look at her.
"Yeah, but it doesn't seem like he knew Olivia was there." The Officer replied.
"So no red flags on her bust?" The older man asked in confirmation while leaning back in his chair.
"No. We put her back on the street. Wade is none the wiser." Adam shook his head. "Now, she did say that it took about two months to gain his trust. He had people following her home, checking where she lives, setting up cameras. I mean, again, he's paranoid, and on top of that, he's real controllin'."
