*Crime Scene*

"That's eight bodies now. We have eight dead people because of Tovar's bad dope." Ana growled, lowly, shaking her head in disgust.

Hank glanced down at her in concern but it was quickly replaced by his usual stony gaze as they approached the rest of their team who were all gathered around a car, which had their most recent OD victim in it.

"All right, where are we at with your unwitting?" He inquired, looking over at Kevin.

"I'm in deep with Jimmy, but I've been buying pretty smart. That guy's not a heavy." The dark skinned Officer pointed out.

"So push him up to be one." Ana retorted, gently. "Get him on the hook for a big buy, tonight."

"Look, we want his boss, Tovar, off the street right now. So make it happen." Hank ordered, walking off with his wife before the other man could even utter a single word in reply.

"Hey, Kev." Ana greeted from her desk as she spotted him walking in from the Interrogation Area. "Did you flip him?"

"Yeah. Yeah, I flipped him." The Officer nodded. "He agreed to a deal."

"Okay, take us through it." Hank commanded, having come out of his Office the second he heard his wife's voice.

"All right. So our brand new CI, Jimmy, will be at El Pueblo tomorrow. That's his boss's bar. Jimmy has a brother named Nando. He's a fighter and he's got a match up there." Kevin began.

"So Tovar is expecting Jimmy?" Jay asked in confirmation.

"Right. Jimmy's never missed one of his brother's fights, so we gonna be all good." The Officer assured. "He's gonna bring me with him this time, introduce me to Tovar. Imma strike hot when I set the deal, 'cause Tovar really likes cash, so it should be a good play."

"So you set up the dry meet, set up a buy for a later date, wait for the sale." Adam summarized, counting things off with his fingers as he spoke.

"Right, then we bust Tovar's ass, we get all his dope off the street." Kevin finished.

"So we can't ghost in El Pueblo?" Hailey inquired.

"All you shiny white folks?" He smirked, jokingly. "No ma'am. You gotta kind of know somebody who knows somebody even to get in there."

"Okay, so we post up outside, get eyes and ears." Kim shrugged with a small smile.

"Yeah, that should work." Kevin nodded.

"You know what? Get a COH on Jimmy, too." Ana instructed as her amusement from the Officer's earlier joke faded away. "We are not letting this dope take another life."

"Play it nice and smooth." Hank commanded, turning to head back into his Office. "Let's go."

*A Little While Later*

Things seemed to be going smoothly until Jimmy suddenly went rouge in the middle of the deal and jacked a car. Hank and Ana were currently marching up the stairs hoping to figure out what exactly caused their CI to just flip out like that.

"What happened?" The older man demanded.

"Patrol lost eyes. Jimmy disappeared off 18th." Kim reported from her desk.

"What about his phone?" Ana wondered, taking off her mask and gently stuffing into her pocket.

"Turned it off, Sarge." Adam replied, appearing next to the female Officer and shrugging his jacket off.
