Kingston's pov:

I dared her to shoot me. I was curious to see how she would handle the situation.

"What's the matter, doll?" I asked her in a mockingly tone.

"Fuck you, you son of a bitch." She gritted her teeth, probably mad at herself that she couldn't pull the trigger.

She then proceeded to punch me across the face, causing my head to fall back.

That was a good fucking punch.

As I slowly turned back to face her, all of my men had their guns now aimed at her head.

Using my thumb, I wiped the trickling blood from my bottom lip as we held strong eye contact.

She has beautiful honey hazel coloured eyes. I could stare into them all day.

Smirking, I raised my hand in the air, signalling for all of my men to stand down.

I could deal with her by myself.

Braxton rolled his eyes at my demand and refused to listen to me. He kept his gun aimed at her head, pressing it further into her head.

"Braxton, listen here, you ignorant prick. I tell you to do something, you fucking do it. Put that gun down right fucking now before I shoot you myself." I warned him yet again, he was now starting to test my patience.

He glared at me, his nostrils flaring but he eventually removed the gun and backed away from the both of us.

Turning my gaze back to River, she now had the gun placed right in front of my face, ready to shoot.

Gritting my teeth, it took everything in me not to snatch the gun away from her and shoot her with her own gun.

"If you're going to shoot me, fucking shoot me." I threatened, glaring at her.

A few seconds passed before we heard the noise of a car pulling up on the drive.

Who the fuck is it now?

"Honey! I'm home!" A woman's voice spoke cheerfully outside the warm home.

I'm assuming that's his wife.

"Hide your fucking guns. You do not let my wife see that shit, especially not my fucking children." Peter whispered aggressively, causing everyone to put away their guns.

Moments later, she appeared at the door with Louie and Layla stood infront of her.

All three sets of eyes were placed on me and River.

We waited for someone to speak but nothing came, everything was pin drop silent, until Louie ran straight over to us, staring wide-eyed up at River as he completely ignored me.

"You're so pretty." He giggled, staring up at her as if she was the greek goddess. His ocean blue eyes glistening as he looked at her.

He wasn't wrong though. She was beautiful. Probably one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen in my life.

River looked at me before lowering down to Louie's height. He looked amazed when she was finally face to face with him.
