Kingston's pov:
Confusion took over her expression after hearing my sentence.
I had no business in keeping her father as a hostage. It turns out I didn't need him for anything.
All I wanted him for, was to find Julian. As it turns out, he was fine all along.
So now, I didn't need him nor did I want him.
River doesn't trust me and that is understandable. But, if she desperately wanted her father back, she'd have to trust me, just this once.
I know she's been through a lot and that we're enemies but it's in her best interest to trust me right now. Even if she doesn't want to.
I can't guarantee her father will return unharmed but she will get him back.
"You're seriously going to take me to him?" She asked, curiosity entering her tone.
I nodded in reply as Hugo finally managed to get up from the floor, only to fall straight back into the wall beside him seconds later.
Me and River both watched him as he then continued to struggle. River rolled her eyes at him as her focus came back to me.
"Just tell me where he is. You don't need to take me. I'm capable." She told me.
"If you both want to return home alive, I suggest you let me take you." I spoke as she sent me a glare.
She then let out a little chuckle, "You think I'll be more safe with you than I will by myself? Are you having a fucking laugh?"
She obviously didn't trust me which, once again, was understandable.
"Look, doll. I know you don't want to trust me, but I'm the only one who knows where your father is and is willing to take you. You can either trust me for once and let me take you, or you can just forget about it."
No one else here knew her fathers whereabouts, so she had no choice other than to trust me.
She didn't say anything as she just glared at me for a few moments.
It was obvious she didn't like the idea of this.
"Fine. I'll let you take me but I'm not trusting you, not a chance in fucking hell. And the minute something goes wrong, I will kill you."
"Fine by me." I responded to her, letting her know I was absolutely fine with that.
"Okay good. Now we can go." She nodded and made her way down the corridor and towards the staircase.
Her long, black hair swaying behind her as she walked.
She was beautiful. She is beautiful. But she's also an enemy. It is forbidden to fall for an enemy.
As I began to follow her, Hugo called me back as I turned to look at him, "Boss, you're really going with her? Isn't that a bit dangerous and stupid?" Hugo questioned, clearly worried for my safety.
"Hugo, I'll be fine. Don't worry about me. Just go clean yourself up and then get someone to clean this shit up." I looked around at my surroundings as blood stained the walls and the floor.
River Fucking Lincoln.
Hugo nodded in understanding, before asking another question, "what about the body?" He was referring to Micheals body, obviously.
I looked towards the room the murder took place in, then looking back at Hugo, "burn it." Was my simple answer.
Micheal didn't even deserve to have a single trace of his body left behind in this world.
