"Let him go." I demanded, trying to sound as calm as possible.

"Why should I?" She responded in an instant, pressing the gun further into his head as he winced in pain.

Not being able to say anything, she spoke again, "You won't let me go, so tell me why you think I should let this fool go?"

Placing my gun down on the table beside me, I looked straight into Rivers Hazel coloured eyes.

I slowly closed the door behind me, stepping further into the room as it was just me, River and Hugo.

I didn't once take my eyes off River as she watched my every move.

As I got a few steps closer to them both, she instantly positioned the gun right between my eyes, "one more step and I'll blow your fucking brains out right here, right now, you piece of shit!" She yelled.

I raised my arms in surrender as she was now the one calling the shots.

"Put the fucking gun away and let him go, River." I demanded, but as usual, she didn't listen.

"No." She simply said as I rubbed my tongue on the inside of my cheek, growing impatient.

What the fuck am I going to do now then?

As I was thinking of ways to get Hugo out of this mess, I was called through the radio.

I answered to hear a man talking to my men.

"I'm a friend of Kingstons. Let me in those gates." An Irish accent sounded through the radio.

"Parker. Who is it?" I asked, already knowing the man outside my gates had some sort of relation to River as her eyes intently watched my radio.

She knew who it was.

"I don't know, sir. But he's demanding to get through the gates." Parker told me.

Having no clue as to who it was, I looked towards River, "who the fuck is stood outside my gates?"

Still holding the same look, she shrugged her shoulders, saying, "I don't know."

I couldn't tell wether she was lying or not. Rolling my eyes, I spoke back into the radio, "let him in."

Rivers face immediately dropped into a nervous look as she watched me put my radio away.

"What's the matter, doll?" I asked, as she began to give me a harsh glare.

"What are you doing?" She questioned, now walking towards me and leaving Hugo behind.

"You'll see." I smiled sarcastically, as she rolled her eyes at me.

She turned back to face Hugo as I mouthed the words 'hold on' to him.

He gave me a small nod with a faint smile before I opened the door, "You can go." I looked dead into the eyes of River, whilst a now confused expression took over her beautiful features.

"What?" She seemed confused, in which she should be.

"I said, you can go. Don't make me change my mind." I warned her, before looking over at Hugo.

She looked between the pair of us before speaking once again, "do you honestly both think I'm that stupid? You're planning something," She looked at me, then at Hugo.

In response to her, I shook my head.

She began to laugh at my reply, "You're funny." She spoke, leaving me a little confused at her words.

I didn't say anything as she looked between us once more, nodding to herself, then making her way to the door, which I stood beside.

She suddenly stopped in front of me, pressing the same bloodied gun to my chest, "I don't know what the fuck you're planning. But, it's not going to work, I promise you that, love."
