Ciara looks exhausted. We're still in the kitchen and I'm serving Ciara more food than she can handle. She eats excessively when she's frustrated.
"Another muffin cake,I'm starving," she points out and I deeply sigh feeling sorry for her.
"No. You've had enough. Are you sure you're okay?" I ask.
"We we're having fun until she came along," Ciara replies and I know the 'she' she's talking about is Marilyn.
"What happened between the two of you that makes you hate each other so much?" I finally ask.
Ciara deeply sighs in exhaustion but speaks up anyway,
"Well, first off I'm attractive," she says trying to joke around. I laugh.
"Be serious please," I suggest and she groans.
"I don't really know why she hates me. She just likes watching me fail and the worst part of it is Richard likes me a lot. Ever since they moved into the neighbourhood, she just hated me the moment she saw me do things better than her," she tells me.
She's being honest and I appreciate that.
"Thank you for the honesty," I reply and she smiles at me.
"Let me go out there and look for Morris. I'll catch up with you later," she tells me and walks out.
It's not just about Marilyn but there is something else. I can feel it. But now that I'm here alone,I will wait for Marilyn to walk in here and talk to me. I know she will.
