"Hi," Richard greets Ciara with a smile.
Does he realise I'm standing right behind her?
"Hey," Ciara simply yet politely responds.
"What do you want?" I ask Richard who looks at his wife Marilyn, who looks at me.
"Someone very close to us has gone missing," Richard responds and I scoff.
"How does that concern Ciara and I? Do we look like we might know where the person is?" I fire at him and Ciara sighs.
"Come on in. I see you have posters," she says and opens the door wide open for the couple to enter.
I walk up to take a sit on the sofa and Richard and Marilyn take their seat as well. Ciara closes the door and looks at the couple with a light smile.
"Who went missing? What happened?" She asks.
"Our babysitter, Zoe," Richard replies and hands Ciara the poster which indicates Zoes missing.
"Oh,I'm so sorry," she says staring at the picture of the once living being. Ciara takes a sit besides me.
"When last did you see her?" I question and Marilyn replies.
"Three days ago. I left her with the kids and when I came back home, she wasn't around. She just left her phone and that's odd because she always has her phone with her," Marilyn informs me and I nod affirming.
"The twins said something pretty suspicious when we came back home after work," Richard says and my heart is beating real fast.
"What?" I ask curiously.
"They said she had some guy over and she left with him."
"Did they describe how he looked like?" Ciara asks.
"Tall, embrald eyes, handsome and his name is Fivio," Richard says and my spirit is at ease.
You know why? Everybody knows me as Timothy Zolanski, the anti social neighbour. But wait! Madison and Reese know exactly how I look like and that's why they'll have to die before my identity is revealed.
"Fivio? What kind of stupid name is that?" I ask trying to engage and not seem suspicious.
The couple chuckles and there is silence amongst ourselves now. It's awkward. I mean how can't it be?
Marilyn was my lover and she's married to a man who is madly in love with Ciara, the woman who loves me and I... I don't know what I feel for her. Not yet. And even if I was sure of my feelings for Ciara,I wouldn't tell her. I can't. I don't want to get too attached and end up killing her.
"Want to join us for lunch?" Ciara asks Marilyn and Richard who smile at her approving but then they look at me and their smiles fade. They get up from their seats.
"We actually have to pass out the flyers all around the neighbourhood before it's too late. We would have loved to join but someone is missing," Ricahrd says. Well,he's right.
"You're the owner of the babysitter so stay and you'll resume with your work," Ciara tells the couple.
She insists but they look at me like they're waiting for my approval. Of course they are.
"You may stay for lunch. I'd... Love that," I finally approve and they smile.
Ciara looks happy the most. She is so welcoming, patient and kind, she'd make such a great wife.
