Linda chewed her lip and played with her wedding rings as she watches Danny lock the safe. "I'm sorry."

He looked at her, surprised.

"For being a bitch earlier. During dinner. You were just trying to help Jimmy, and I acted like it was your fault those guys... those guys beat him up. You don't deserve my anger or my bitchy attitude, especially since you were trying to protect Jimmy. It's not your fault that—"

She closed her mouth, stopping her rant. Then she continued, "I'm sorry I was bitchy to you. You didn't deserve it. I'm sorry."

"Hey," Danny said quietly, before walking to her and giving her a hug. "I can understand your anger. Being involved with Jimmy.... Well, it isn't easy."

She interrupted him, "he comes her every two to five years and expects me to be all sympathetic to him! Why would I be? He doesn't call, doesn't write, he only shows up when he wants money!"

As an after thought she added, "holy crap I sound like an overbearing mother."

Danny laughed. "Maybe Jimmy learned his lesson this time."

She was quiet for a few moments. "No. He didn't."

"You don't know that."

"Yes I do," she answered solemnly.
