Linda was just walking out of the emergency room, ready to take that bath Danny had promised her, when she saw him, Jamie, and Jamie's partner Vinny walking through the doors.

"Danny?" She asked, worry bubbling in her gut. She saw that he was holding a tissue to his head, above his eyebrow, and her worry grew twice as fast. She gently took his wrist in her hand, moving it away from his face. There was a small cut on his head, "what happened?"

"He was hit by a beer bottle," Vinny explained.

"What?!"

She dragged him to the nearest pod and made him sit.

"Linda, I'm fine, really," Danny watched as she pulled gloves on.

"Did you get any glass in your eye?"

"No. Thank goodness."

She relaxed a little at that.

"We have to go back now," Jamie informed them. "But I'm glad you're okay."

Danny gave them a smile as they left.

"Hold still," Linda instructed him. She cleaned the wound in silence, and swallowed her vomit when she pulled out a decent chunk of glass.

Danny put his hands over hers as she held the bandage. "I'm okay. I promise."

She closed her eyes, "you were at the Jefferson Houses, weren't you?"

"It's okay. Nothing's going to happen."

"But what if it does?" She whispered, close to tears. She always hated him going to neighborhoods that were vehemently anti-cop.

"It won't."

"You don't know that!"

"Linda." Danny pulled her closer to him, and cupped her cheeks. "I'll be alright. I'll even text you when I'm leaving and at every stoplight."

She smiled a little bit at that, moving out of his grasp to put the bandaid on.

"Besides, I still owe you a bath. Which looks like it won't be until tomorrow."

She backed up once the bandage was on and gave him a little pout.

He grabbed her hand, "I know. I'd much rather be taking a bath with you than at the Jefferson Houses. Trust me."

"Just be careful out there, okay?"

"When am I not?"

"Do you want that list digitally or hand written?"

She laughed when he reached behind her and popped her on her butt.

"I'll be careful, I promise." He sealed it with a kiss. "And I'll see you in the morning."

"I love you," Linda said earnestly.

"I love you most. And I promise you'll get that bath with me."
