Chapter 26: Vegas

I watched as the dudes did in fact walk off of the courts. As it was clear that the main guy was not all too happy for losing a fair game. Especially when it was that he had tons of hundred dollar bills on him, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to blink my eyes a few times, all at once, at that. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to turn my head on over towards Xavier. As I saw that he had a big smile on his face, as if all of that was no big deal to him what so ever.
I knew that if it was that Brandon's mom did in fact find out about what it is that had happened. Than she for sure would make Brandon not only be able to hang out with me ever again. But she would also make Brandon have to quit the team, and she would make sure that Xavier got fired, at that.
I kind of just seemed to shake my head a little bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, at that. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to squint my eyes at Xavier. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to speak to him in a not so happy tone of voice, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have done as such a thing like that. I just then did in fact just seem to see that Xavier then did in fact just seem to turn his head on over towards me. As it was that I did in fact seem to see that it was, that he did in fact have his eyes wide just now, at that.
As it was that I simply just did my best to try to keep my self as calm, and as normal as I felt like I possibly could in the mean time, at that. As in the end, I just then did in fact just seem to start to shake my head a bit to my self at that. As I just then did in fact just seem to notice that he was in fact beginning to start to listen as to just what it was that I did in fact even feel like I even had to say to him, at that.
"What the hell was that about? You almost got us all killed! If his mom and my mom ever find out about this..." I said to him, all at the exact same time too, at that. That was when I just then did in fact just seem to squint my eyes a few times, all at once.
As it was that I knew that it was that I trailed off on what it was that I had in fact even just said. As it was that I felt like I would let him decide what it was that he thinks would in fact happen if it was that they were in fact to find out about that, never the less.
As it was that I knew that he knew that it would not be any thing good. As it was that as it was that I continued to stare at him. He just then did in fact just seem to start to squint his eyes at me, all at once. As if I was the one that was in fact in the wrong just now. And that he was the one who was in fact the good guy, at that.
I kind of was just a little bit lost as to just what it was that he would in fact think on such a thing like that. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to hear his voice not all too much longer after all of that. As it was that he just then did in fact just seem to start to speak back on over towards me, never the less.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have seen him do as such a thing like that, all at once. I just then did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead, all at the exact same time too. And I just then did in fact just seem to blink my eyes a few times at first. As it was that I just then did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what ever it was that he did in fact feel like he even needed to say on over towards me in the very first place any ways, at that.
"Come on kid... Stop being so soft... I am preparing you for the real world... This is what gang shit is... And if you act like a pussy, that is how you get taken advantage of..." He said to me, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to blink my eyes a few times, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As I was not all too sure as to just why it was that he was in fact telling the both of us that, all at once. As it was that it did in fact kind of make me quite a bit angry. As to just what ever it was that he had in fact even just said to the both of us, at that.
As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to just shake my head on over towards him, at that. As I saw that it did in fact confuse him quite a bit as to just what it was that I was even doing just now, at that. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to see him tilt his head on over towards me, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have seen him do as such a thing like that, all at once. I just then did in fact just seem to start to continue to speak to him in a not so happy tone of voice. As it was that I knew that it was of course, that he was in fact beginning to start to listen as to just what ever it was that I did in fact feel like I even needed to say on over towards him in the very first place any ways, once again.
"My mom has made sure to protect me from that stuff my entire life... I am fairly certain that she would not want you teaching me that kind of stuff... And the same can be said for Brandon's mom..." I said to him, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to continue to squint my eyes at him.
As it was that I felt like a few months ago, I would have struggled with my words, at that. As I would be in such a fit of rage as to just what it was that he had in fact just put us through, at that. That I would have felt like it was that no one would have taken me serious, at that.
I knew that Brandon was in fact taking me serious just now. But as it was that I did in fact just seem to continue to stare at Xavier right in to his eyes. It seemed like it was that he did in fact not seem to think I was being serious. As it was that he almost seemed to be taking this as some sort of joke.
If that was the case, than it was that I felt like it was that I did in fact need to tell my mom as to just what it was that Xavier had done. As I felt like it was going to be hard for her to forgive him for some thing like that. As I knew that my mother rarely did in fact talk about my father.
But when it was that she did in fact do as such a thing like it. She would always talk about the fact that he was in to a whole lot of gang shit. And that was the reason as to just why it was that she and him could not be together, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have began to have thought on such a thing like that, all at once. That was when it was that I just then did in fact just seem to see that it was, that all at the exact same time too. That Xavier then did in fact just seem to start to stand up to me, and he just then did in fact begin to start to speak back on over towards me, at that.
As it was that I simply just seemed to stare at him with a blank look on my face, all at the exact same time too, never the less. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to hear him speak to me. As I just then, as much as it was that I really did in fact feel like I did in fact not want to do as such a thing like that, never the less. I did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what ever it was that he did in fact feel like he even needed to say back on over towards me, at that.
"Well... It's time for you to wake up... We live in Chicago... Not Hollywood... And even then... You are never safe... You have to learn some things... You need to know how to make deals, if you want to make it to the NBA, sign agents, get sports deals..." He said to me, all at the exact same time too, at that. As it was that I felt like he did in fact have a fair point on just what it was that he had even said to me.
Besides the fact that it was that he was using gang violence as the way that it was that he felt like it was that he did in fact need to teach me. As that was the one thing that it was that I did in fact not agree on, at that. As this was a little bit all too much for me to take in just now, all at the exact same time too, never the less.
As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead, all at the exact same time too, at that. And I just then did in fact just seem to just breathe in quite a bit to my self, all at the exact same time too. As I just then did in fast just seem to just shake my head quite a bit of over towards my self, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have began to have done as such a thing like that. As it was that he just then did in fact just seem to finally feel like he had some thing to say all of the sudden, at that.
Just as soon as it was that I had in fact just seemed to have began to have heard my friend begin to speak. I just then did in fact just seem to turn my head on over towards him, all at the exact same time too. And I just then did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that he felt like he even needed to add on to all of this, all at once, at that.
"Xavier... Did you even have a hundred dollar bill on your wallet to even bet with?" He said, as it was that he just then did in fact just seem to squint his eyes on over towards Xavier. Just as soon as it was that he had in fact even just said as to just what was in fact the he had in fact even just said to him, never the less.
As it was that I knew that he did in fact bring up quite a bit of a fair point on just what it was that he had even just said never the less. As it was that I was in fact fairly certain that it was that Xavier was not just going around. And carrying 100 dollar bills in his pocket, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to turn my head right back on over towards Xavier once again, at that. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to squint my eyes right back on over towards him, once again, at that.
As it was that I just seemed to have began to have done as such a thing like that over towards him. It seemed like it was that Xavier did in fact not seem to be taking this all too serious what so ever, at that. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to see him roll his eyes back on over towards Brandon, at that.
As that was all about just what it was that he did in fact need to tell us. As it was clear that he did in fact not have 100 dollars on him what so ever, at that, never the less. As it was that I knew that it was that it was in fact the case, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to stare at him right in to his eyes for just a little bit more time, at that, never the less. That was when it was that he then did in fact finally begin to start to speak back on over towards Brandon, at that. As it was that I just then did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what ever it was that he did in fact feel like he even needed to say to us, all at once, at that.
"No... But neither did they... That's just plug money... They have to give that back to their dealer..." He said, as it was that he did in fact have a smirk on his face as to just what it was that he had in fact just said, at that. As it was that I did in fact not have a single clue as to just what it was that he had even just said just now, if it was that I was in fact going to be for real with my self, never the less, at that.
It seemed like he was making up a whole bunch of shit. As no matter what the case was to me, it seemed like he was just thinking of a bunch of excuses as to the fact that it was that he had in fact put our lives in danger, at that. Which was some thing that I was not at all too happy with what so ever, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I stood there and stared for just a little bit more time, all at the exact same time too. That was when it was that I just then did in fact just seem to shake my head on over towards Xavier, at that. As it was that I knew that it was that I really did in fact not like what it was that he was in fact saying to me and Brandon.
As it was that it seemed like he was acting like it was that my dad would have acted, at that. As it did in fact kind of upset me as to the fact that it was in fact the case, all at once. As it was that I just then did in fact begin to start to speak right back on over towards him, in quite a bit of an angry tone of voice as it was that I had in fact just seemed to have began to have done as such a thing like that.
Xavier turned his head on over towards me right away, at that. As it was that he did in fact just seem to have his eyes wide just now, as well. As it was clear to me that he was in fact at the very least. He was in fact beginning to start to listen as to just what ever it was that I did in fact feel like I even needed to say to him right now, all at the exact same time too, never the less.
"You sound just like my dad... If I tell mom, you are done for... I don't want to be in any sort of gang shit..." I said to him, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I knew that it was that it was not just the fact that my mom did in fact not want me in that type of stuff. But I also knew that it was that for my self, never the less. I did in fact not want to get any sort of involved in any of that at all.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have thought on that for just a few more moments of some time, at that, none the less. That was when it was that it was clear to me that Xavier was in fact upset at me. And he was in fact angry with the fact as to just what it was that I had said to him.
Which it was that I suppose that I could not blame him for that. As it was that I knew that it was that he was in fact in love with my mom of course. But I also kind of felt like if that was in fact the case never the less. Than he should have thought twice on just what it was that he had in fact taken us in to, never the less.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have stared at Xavier for just a little bit more time, at that. As it was that it was my turn to be the one who did in fact have their eyes wide just now. I just then did in fact just seem to start to hear the voice of Xavier, as it was that he just then did in fact begin to start to speak to me, all at the exact same time too, never the less, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have began to have realized that it was in fact the case. I just then did in fact just seem to start to begin to blink my eyes a few times at first. As it was that I just then did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what ever it was that Xavier did in fact feel like he even needed to say right on over towards me all at the exact same time too, never the less, at that.
"Yup... Well if you do that... Than you can kiss your dreams of being a basketball star down the drain... Because you have no idea what the hell you are doing kid..." He said to me, as it was that he just then did in fact have a very serious look on his face. Just as soon as it was that he had in fact just seemed to have said as to just what it was that he had said to me.
As I suppose that it was that he did in fact have a bit of a fair point on just what it was that he had said. But I still felt like it was that it was not okay what it was that he had just put us in to, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I saw that it was that Brandon out of the corner of my eyes, all at the exact same time as well.
He just did in fact just seem to have his eyes wide him self. As it was clear to me that he was not all too sure as to just what it was that was even going on just now, never the less. Nor was he all too sure as to just what it was that he should even be doing right at this very moment in time too.
As it was that I kind of just did my best to try to keep my self as calm as I felt like I possibly could in the mean time, all at once, at that. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to let out quite a bit of a rough sigh to my self, at that. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to shake my head on over towards Xavier, all at the exact same time too.
It was clear that he was in fact a little bit lost as to just what it was that I was doing just now. As it was that I saw that it was that he did in fact have his head tilted on over towards me. As it was that I just simply then did in fact just seem to start to continue to just speak to him, all at once, at that. As it was that I knew that it was, that he was in fact beginning to start to listen as to just what ever it was that I did in fact feel like I even needed to say to him just now, never the less.
"Fine... But that still doesn't make it okay for you putting Brandon in that situation..." I said to him, all at the exact same time too. As it was that it was in fact clear to me that my best friend was in fact still lost. As it was that it was also clear that he was in fact a little bit scared as to just what it was that was in fact even going on in the very first place any ways, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have stood there and stared for just a few more moments of some time, all at the exact same time too. That was when it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to continue to breathe in a rough sigh to my self. As it was clear that it was that Xavier was in fact now happy as to the fact as to just what it was that I had even said to him, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I just simply just seemed to look away from him for just a few more moments of some time, at that. As I just then did in fact just seem to start to continue to go right on ahead, all at the exact same time as well. And I just then did in fact just seem to start to breathe in quite a bit of a rough as well as a soft sigh to my self, all at once, at that, never the less. As I just then did in fact just seem to all of the sudden simply close my eyes for just a few seconds of some time, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have done as such a thing like that, all at the exact same time too. That was when it was that I just then did in fact begin to start to continue to hear the voice of Xavier. As it was that he just then did in fact just seem to start to continue to speak to me, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have began to have realized as to the fact that it was in fact the case, all at once, at that. I did in fact, as much as it was that I felt like I did in fact not want to do as such a thing like it. I then did in fact just seem to open my eyes, all at the exact same time as well.
As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to turn my head on over towards Xavier once again. As it was that I just then did in fact look at the guy in to his eyes, at that. As I just then did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what ever it was that he did in fact feel like he even needed to say in the very first place any ways, all at the exact same time too, at that.
"Alright... Now if you boys are ready... I am sure that the power is back on back at the house... Let's go ahead and head back there..." He said, as it was that he did in fact have a big smile on his face as soon as it was that he had in fact said as to just what it was that he had even said to us, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have began to have realized as to the fact that it was in fact the case, all at the exact same time too. That was when it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to continue to go right on ahead, at that. But it just kind of felt like it was in fact a little bit hard for me to do as such a thing like that, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have thought on it for just a few more seconds of some time. As it was that both me and Brandon did in fact just seem to continue to follow Xavier, at that, never the less. That was when it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to hear the quite interested voice of Brandon, as it was that he just then did in fact begin to start to step up and speak, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have began to have realized that it was in fact the case, at that. And it was that I had in fact just seemed to have noticed the tone of voice that he was in fact using just now. That was when it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to squint my eyes on over towards my best friend. As I just then did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what ever it was that he felt like he clearly did in fact need to say on over towards Xavier, all at the exact same time too, at that.
"What do you mean when you say that if you get big you have to learn this kind of stuff?" He said, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I was not all too sure as to just why it was that Brandon was in fact saying as to just what it was that he had even just said on over towards Xavier.
When it was that I knew that he had told me that it was of course. That he did in fact want to go to college to become a brain surgeon, all at the exact same time too. As I knew that he was in fact being serious with just what it was that he had in fact even just said to me, never the less.
As it was that he had in fact told me that his father had in fact died from a traumatic brain injury when he was younger. As I felt like that had to be as to just why it was that his mother was in fact so protective over him, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I just simply did in fact just seem to breathe in a little bit of a rough and a heavy sigh to my self, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As it was that I simply just did my best to try to keep my self as calm, and as normal as I felt like I possibly could in the mean time, at that. As I still was in fact a little bit lost as to just what it was that Brandon was thinking just now, at that. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead, at that.
And I just then did in fact just seem to turn my head on over towards what it was that was in fact going on in front of us just now. As it was that I saw that we were in fact just now beginning to start to leave the park all at the exact same time too, never the less. As it was that I also did in fact just so happen to see that Xavier did in fact just seem to have his head turned on over towards the both of us, all at the exact same time too, at that.
How ever, he did in fact have a smirk on his face, just as soon as it was that he had in fact heard as to just what it was that Brandon had in fact even just said to him, at that. As I let out a little bit of a soft sigh to my self at first. To try to keep my self as calm as I felt like I possibly could in the mean time, all at once, at that.
As it was that I just then did in fact begin to start to continue to hear the voice of Xavier, as it was that he just then did in fact just seem to continue to speak on over towards the both of us, all at once, at that. As it was that I simply just did my best to act as normal as I felt like I possibly could in fact even do in the mean time. As it was that I just then did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what ever it was that Xavier did in fact feel like he even needed to say on over towards the both of us, all at the exact same time too, never the less, at that.
"Well... Life is just a game... You got to gamble and make trades and deals with it... Like this shit is Vegas..."
