"If no one needs me, I have some work to do." Rey said as she made her way back to the repair station.
Finn followed behind Rey in order to see the progress of the comlink. Once he entered the room, he saw that not much had changed.
"Let me know when you get that done." Finn said to Rey, who was putting her gloves back on.
Rey didn't respond, but gave a thumbs up before putting on her gloves.
Finn and BB-8 then followed Han and Chewbacca down the exit ramp into the hangar area of the Eravana. The hangar was lit by blue and green lighting, with smoke rising from the ventilations on the ground. Multiple three-legged support beams held up the ceiling. Standing behind a large panel was an MD-series assistance droid. It was a human-sized droid with a semi-circle-shaped head with bronze plating and beady white photoreceptors.
"Found those stowaways have you?" The droid, having female programming, addressed Han and Chewbacca. "What're your plans for them? Throwing them into Space?" She suggested.
"Not these two." Han told the droid. "They've got something worthwhile."
"Whatever you say, captain Solo. But don't expect me to jump to your rescue if they ambush the two of you."
"Hey, I've always got Chewie if anything happens," Han assured the droid. "Right pal?" He looked up at Chewbacca.
Chewbacca roared, reassuring Han. The two grinned at one another. Just then, Finn, Han, and Chewbacca heard what sounded like a set of doors sliding open loudly somewhere, followed by creaking and heavy footsteps. The four looked around, then at each other.
". . .What was that?" Finn asked, tensing up.
"Did you ever get around to fixing the faulty hangar doors?" Han asked Chewbacca.
Chewbacca paused for a moment before responding, telling Han he'd meant to do so, but stated he'd been preoccupied.
"Preoccupied?!" Han repeated in frustration as his face scrunched. "We'll talk about this later." He sighed before pulling out his blaster.
"Do you have any blasters on the ship?" Finn stopped Han.
"Weapons closet. Equipment storage area; just walk to the right in the lounge, can't miss it." Han responded, gesturing to the Falcon.
Finn walked back to the lounge area, following Han's instructions and found the weapon's closet. He opened it and found four rifles and a single scatter gun. The slugthrower was maroon and black, with a short rib and a circular magazine underneath. It also had two nozzles atop one another. Given the somewhat narrow halls of the Eravana, Finn believed this weapon was perfect should a fight break out.
"Smart move going with the HELM." Han complimented Finn's choice of weaponry.
"Where'd you get it?" Finn asked.
"It was a gift from the Imperial Remnant Overseeing Commission, or the IROC for short."
"You served with the New Republic?"
"Do people think I still smuggle?" Han ignored Finn's question. "MD, get that door open!" Han ordered.
"Good luck, captains." The MD droid said worridly as she opened the hangar door.
With that, the three exited the hangar and made their way through the halls. Like with the hangar the Falcon was on, the halls of the Eravana were dimly lit. The three's footsteps echoed on the grate flooring, making the scene even more ominous. Han then held his hand up to get the three to stop. He then nodded Chewbacca to brace himself.
