At the same time when the evacuation began, the Falcon and the Third Array's Nokra freighter arrived at Ilum. Cruising millions of miles away from the snow-covered planet, Finn walked into the cockpit and stared at the world he knew so well; there he knew he'd encounter his former comrades. Finn hoped there'd be very few casualties during this operation on both sides.
"Falcon, this is Captain Anka. We're going to land a ways off from the base to avoid dete—" The voice of Iseul said.
"This ain't my first time sneaking somewhere; I know how this all works, Captain." Han cut Anka off with an eyeroll. "And besides, we're following the Sergeant. He's the one who knows the ins and outs of this place." He reminded Anka.
Anka didn't say anything, only turning his communicator off.
Once the two ships landed inside a dense forest's clearing, the unit quickly noticed that they landed on the planet during an intense snowstorm. The sound of loud winds howling could be heard loud and clear, even inside the Falcon. But, from Finn's and Iseul's perspective, this was a positive; the thick snow would give the unit the element of surprise.
"Hey Han, do you have any coats on board?" Finn asked, putting on his hooded coat. "Rey's gonna need something."
"Yep, in the bunks." Han directed him.
Finn followed Han's directions and entered the first set of triple bunks. Finn then rummaged around and picked up a white heavy coat with tan gloves laying next to them. Atop the coat was a white cap with earflaps and black visors on it. Finn picked up the coat and examined it. He immediately picked up on how dirty the coat was, as there were black smudges on it.
"All the time in the Universe and you can't even wash your clothes. . ." Finn complained with a groan.
He placed the coat in a backpack, then attached the lightsaber to his utility belt. As everyone in the Falcon readied themselves, Chewbacca suggested that someone should ask Anka's group if they were ready.
"I'll do it." Finn offered before walking towards the cockpit.
"Captain Anka, this is Falcon. Is the strike team prepared?"
There was no reply.
"Captain Anka, this is Falcon. I repeat, is the strike team prepared?"
Again, nothing.
This confused Finn. Instead of speaking, Finn opened the exit ramp and walked outside. The ice-cold wind hit Finn in the face, forcing him to put on his goggles and scarf. He then trudged toward the Nokra freighters, almost falling face first in the snow, and banged on the first cruiser's main door. At once it opened, Chert greeted him, wearing a white coat too. Without a word being spoken, he allowed Finn entry. Finn walked over to Iseul, who sat at a table, clearly using a communicator.
"Captain Anka, this is officer Connix making contact from the Altruist cruiser, do you read me? I repeat, do you read me?" Connix asked using her callsign.
"I copy officer, what's the matter?" Iseul answered.
"Code SI has been initiated, I repeat, Code SI has been initiated!" Kaydel said. "We've begun the evacuation process and will prepare our jump to lightspeed after everyone is on board. Are you able to pinpoint this transmission's origin point?"
"We've got your location in our system, don't worry." Iseul reassured Connix.
"Good! After your mission's complete, contact us again! May the Force be with you all!" Connix said before disconnecting.
