Taehyung isn't sure what suddenly prompted him to take a step forward that day, to loop his arms around jimin's waist to pull him close, jimin's hand easily settling against his chest right over his crazily beating heart and to be frank he doesn't know why he did such a thing as kissing his best friend of 12 years.

Maybe it was the flickering streetlight above them, that made his eyes gleam with a fondness taehyung can only guess was directed towards him and him only.

Or it could be the cold wind that colored his cheeks and nose a pretty pink, his lips jutting out in a  cute pout, making them irresistible.

Or it could simply be due to the fact that taehyung was in love.

Taehyung was falling and oh that too harder in love with jimin, and even if taehyung experienced their first kiss with a heavy lump in his throat and an erratic heart beat, the moment the fall of his lips got cushioned with the plumpness of jimin's , taehyung knew for a fact that he was never in this alone.

Well because jimin kissed him back with  the same desperation.....with the same longing and the look on jimin's face when they separated made taehyung feel guilty, guilty for ever thinking that jimin would never want him the same way he want him. No need him.

Taehyung is glad he did kiss jimin that day, or else he would have never got the chance to hold him this close, jimin's arms wrapped loosely around his waist, his ear pressed on top of taehyung's still stuttering heart, their warmth a pleasant feeling even in the sweltering heat.

Squishing his cheeks on top of jimin's curly head and holding him close by his shoulder, taehyung thanked the heavens for letting him find jimin, his angel.

'Soulmates' they are and just as the day taehyung knew jimin reciprocated his love even without any words, now taehyung can tell that jimin is very much awake in his arms and can  picturise the sweet smile playing on his lips.

So taehyung did what he always wanted, will always want to do.

Dipping down to press a kiss on his forehead, taehyung made his way down making sure to trace his lips over each of jimin's eyelids, the plump of his cheeks where taehyung would gladly spend an eternity to trace out the little constellations that endeared taehyung to no end, the arch of his cupid bow ( somewhere taehyung likes to lick and nip playfully at times), the corner of his mouth and finally settled with his lips pressed underneath jimin's chin, after shifting to lay slightly on top of him.

All this while jimin's eyes traced taehyung's movement, taking in his messy bed head, his eyes that never looked at jimin with anything other than love, his lips a soft pink looking smooth and terribly inviting.

It is endearing to jimin how taehyung always keeps his lips pressed to any available skin on his body like taehyung can never go a second without touching jimin.

So yeah, with a weak heart that harboured all the love in this world for taehyung, jimin patted lightly on taehyung's head, who not missing a beat raised his head to press a kiss to jimin's waiting lips, their kiss deepening with a swipe of taehyung's tongue on jimin's bottom lip.

Two days into their relationship, jimin found out how it was so hard to stop taehyung once he started kissing. So it was given that taehyung would lick and suck those gorgeous lips of jimin's into his mouth, their tongues intertwining the same way taehyung's hand wound around jimin's hips and jimin's around his neck.

'My love' jimin whispered when they broke apart for air, his breath uneven but gaze steady and looking at the only person who stole his breath away the very first time they  saw each other.

Leaning his head down and with the press of a long kiss to his forehead, taehyung beat jimin's intention of saying his confession with an ' I love you, my husband', the rings on their fingers catching the sunlight that filtered into their room, their safe haven.

Not much, but it's.... nevermind😅
