So imagine this plot as a rival VMin college fic—you know, the classic enemies-to-lovers setup. It’ll probably take long chapters to properly build their relationship and make them fall in love, so for now, let’s start with how everything began.

It was a regular morning.

Jimin sat in the second row, back straight, pen moving neatly across his notebook as the professor droned on about economic theory. The sunlight filtered lazily through the tall windows, and everything was calm.

It was then that a flicker of movement outside caught Jimin’s attention. His eyes drifted toward the window—and that’s when he saw him.

A boy, climbing—actually climbing—over the college wall, landing smoothly on the other side like he’d done it a hundred times before.

Jimin blinked at the audacity of the kid sneaking in broad daylight without fearing the consequences.

The boy dusted off his hands, adjusted his bag on his shoulder, and started walking toward the building as if nothing had happened—like being late enough to scale a wall was just another Tuesday inconvenience. And he looked annoyingly cool afterward too.

Jimin found himself staring a second too long before forcing his attention back to his notes.

A few minutes later, the classroom door creaked open, the same boy walking in, unbothered, with his hands in his pockets.

The professor stopped mid-sentence, silence falling upon the class.

“And you are?” the professor asked sharply, adjusting his low glasses.

“Transfer student,” the boy replied casually, his hips cocked to the side, a lazy expression on his face. “Kim Taehyung.”

Murmurs spread across the room, talking about the new student—late with such a bold entrance.

The professor didn’t look impressed. “You’re late on your first day.”

Taehyung shrugged slightly, his weight of his bag shifting back before settling on his hips. “Gate was closed.”

A few students snorted at that. Jimin didn’t. He simply watched, studying the new student’s lazy dressing style and carefree attitude, filing him away as trouble.

“Detention assignment,” the professor said firmly, turning back to the thick book in his hand. “You’ll submit a report by tomorrow.”

More laughter followed, and Taehyung just nodded like it didn’t matter, taking an empty seat near the back.

Jimin watched until Taehyung sat down at a single desk at the back. The boy looked out the window, and when he turned back, his eyes fell upon Jimin’s unwavering stare.

Their gazes locked for a second before Jimin turned away, uninterested.
Or at least, that’s what he told himself.

...

The next period was in the library.

Jimin walked between shelves with Jungkook beside him, discussing notes in low voices. Jungkook listened attentively, nodding at everything Jimin said like it was gospel.

That’s when Jimin saw him again—Taekyung, or whatever his name was—at a table near the window. With his “punishment assignment.” Or… what should have been his assignment.

Instead, there were two thick books stacked neatly on the desk—and Taehyung, fast asleep on top of them, cheek pressed against the covers like they were a pillow.
