His time in recovery was relatively short, 3 weeks flew by like they were nothing. He could only be slightly upset that his time with her was cut shorter by his own healthiness. Alas, his responsibilities soon called once again.

Giyuu and Tengen had both been called for a direct meeting with the master. It was an oddity since hashira usually only met with the master at the much larger hashira meeting.

"Right this way." Two little girls instructed as they lead the two hashira down the halls of the Ubuyashiki estate.

"In here." They both said in unison as they gestured to a singular door.

Tengen slowly slide the door open and peeked inside.

"Come in." A voice beckoned them.

Both the hashira stepping inside together as they looked towards the end of the room where their master sat.

"I'm glad to see you two made it safe. You may sit where you like." Kagaya said.

They both sat down on the ground awkwardly.

A few seconds passed before their master said anything.

"I would like to start by showing my sincerest gratitude for what you two have done." He said while his head touched the ground.

"Oyakata-sama, you don't have to do such a think." Tengen said nervously as he waved his hands around frantically.

"I do." Kagaya reaffirmed.

His head slowly rose from the ground before he began to speak.

"What the both of you have accomplished is something I never would have dreamed in my lifetime to witness. No upper moon has been killed in well over a century."

"For that, my children, you have my utmost thanks."

Tengen and Giyuu both looked at each other awkwardly, it was their first time ever seeing their master act this way.

"It's our job, I can't accept such praise." Giyuu said.

"Even so, you two have put us one step closer to killing the demon king."

"I read the Kakushi reports, if what you two saw was correct then it is very troubling news."

"Can you confirm that the upper moon did in fact regrow its own head after it was severed?" Kagaya questioned very seriously.

Giyuu shot Tengen one look before nodding.

"I see...."

"Oyakata-sama, I believe it would be safe to assume that upper moons 2 and 1 at bare minimum can regrow their heads." Tengen commented.

"It would be, but if all the upper moons can do so then it is most likely that the Demon king could do so as well." Kagaya could only give his best educated guesses.

"I wouldn't say all the upper moons could do so." Giyuu said.

"And what leads you to believe that?" Tengen asked.

"If we know the demon king and upper moons 3, 2, and 1 could, but the lower moons cannot, then that only leaves 6, 5, and 4."

"Maybe the difference between the upper moons isn't purely power based, but also wether or not they could regrow their head even after it's cut off." Giyuu proposed. He knew the actual answer but couldn't reveal that information, instead opting to simply steer them in the right direction.

"That is plausible." Kagaya said, it was definitely an interesting perspective on the matter that he didn't think of.

"For now, going forward, we will go off of Uzui's theory unless proven otherwise." Their master finished before the sounds of a small bell chime sounded out in the room.
