The events of the day prior felt unreal as he stared into the patternless ceiling.

Giyuu occasionally took glances to confirm if what he was experiencing was indeed reality. The peacefully sleeping woman next to him only confirming so.

His heart pounding at the thought. Even if they didn't have an official ceremony, or even a ring yet, it didn't matter to him.

The only problem he had was her unusual habit of sprawling herself out as she slept.

This normally wouldn't be a problem, IF, he wasn't also sleeping in the same not so large sized bed.

A habit she probably built from the fact that any normal one person sized bed was huge in proportion to her small body.

He contemplated sleeping on the floor for a while before eventually falling back asleep, albeit with a little difficulty.

(3 hours later)

Giyuu was awakened by the feeling of being shaken.

"Wake up." Shinobu said in a whisper as she lightly shook him.

Someone was knocking at his door.

"Water Pillar-Sama! Are you in there?" Aoi said loudly as she knocked on the door persistently.

Adrenaline spiked through his system as he shot up out of bed.

"Yes, yes!" Giyuu said as he scrambled to the door.

He slide the door open just enough for his head to peak out.

"What's wrong?" Giyuu said quickly.

Aoi looked at him for a second before speaking.

"Have you seen Shinobu-Sama?"

Giyuu for obvious reasons declined knowing of Shinobu's whereabouts.

"No, I just woke up, sorry."

"Ah, I see.... well if you do, please send her my way. I already checked her room but she wasn't there."

"Is it something really important?" He asked.

"Um, sort of?" Aoi responded not really wanting to get into specifics.

"Alright, I'll let her know if I see her."

Giyuu slowly shut his door before turning around.

He breathed a large sigh as he walked back over.

He waited until Aoi had for certain left the area before saying anything.

"It was your assistant. She wanted to see you for something important."

He knew Shinobu heard the conversation but Giyuu still said it anyway.

"I'll go deal with it." Shinobu said whilst getting up and stretching, letting out a yawn in the process.

The adrenaline slowly faded from his system as he sifted through his drawers.

"Is she still there?" Shinobu asked quietly.

"No, I heard her leave."

Shinobu walked over and slide the door open carefully peaking out and looking around.

She took her chances and quickly left, presumably to her own room.

Giyuu let out a sigh as he closed the door behind her, this wasn't how he expected to start his morning off.

(2 hours later)

He knocked on the door a few times, this wasn't somewhere he ever expected himself to actually be at, but here he was.
