"Just you" he whispered, swallowing as he bobbed his head down, "There's nothing in my head but you" he softly chuckled, making her heart literally stop.
"What ?" the word escaped her lips before she could even think about it. It was barely even a w...

"Don't you ever sleep ?" she heard him say as he walked into the living room.
She barely granted him a look and she shook her head. She was sitting on the window, her legs up the void. She looked over at the city and she had to say, Bucky had a great apartment. She never wanted to leave.
"What's going on ?" he asked as he sat next to her.
She shrugged her shoulders. "I can't sleep, remember ?" she signed.
"You can't or you won't ? What are you thinking about ?"
"Nothing" she shook her head, "I was thinking about Hydra, about something that happened there"
She heard him sigh and she licked her lips as she bobbed her head down.
"What is it ?" he carefully asked.
"It's nothing. It's... you don't remember, anyways"
"But I want to ! I want to remember"
"James, you have to do this on your own. I can help you understand, give you some explanations but even if I tell you every moment that ever happened between us, you'd know them but you wouldn't remember them"
"Maybe it would trigger something. Just please, tell me something. You've been living here for a week and you haven't said a thing to me. Tell me something that happened between us, please"
She looked at his pleading eyes as she thought. Maybe this couldn't be a bad idea. Maybe this was exactly what he needed. She chewed the inside of her lips as she looked back at the city, thinking of what to tell him.
"We've already been in London together" she quickly signed.
"We have ?" he repeated and she nodded.
"It was years ago. Maybe in 2009 or something, we were here for a mission. I had to go undercover at a club while you'd wait outside for the target to step outside. The mission was done fast and I decided I didn't want to go back the hotel yet. You didn't want to leave me alone in such a big time so you changed your clothes and we went out" she softly chuckled.
The memory of the night came back flooding in and her heart swelled with pain and nostalgia. She shrugged her shoulders as she looked at him.
"We spent the night out. We visited London at night, just the two of us. When we came home the morning, we just told Karpov the mission had a little problem and we had to be out all night to fix it. We lied on the mission report and we never spoke about it again"
"What did we do that night ?"
"After you changed your clothes, we went to get ice cream and we ate as we talked and walked across the streets. We heard some music and you wanted to invite me to dance but I didn't give in. I convinced you to walk away and we went to a souvenir shop"
