"Just you" he whispered, swallowing as he bobbed his head down, "There's nothing in my head but you" he softly chuckled, making her heart literally stop.
"What ?" the word escaped her lips before she could even think about it. It was barely even a w...

She woke up in a dark room. She was alone and freezing. She was on a bed. An harsh bed, it wasn't comfortable at all. Her back was hurting. Actually, her entire body hurt. Especially her right arm. She couldn't move it, it was completely paralyzed by pain.
She sat on the bed and looked around her. She was in what looked like a cell. She groaned and tried to remember last night as she closed her eyes.
Karpov was there. She remembered he'd said things to her that had hurt her. She remembered feeling an endless pain, not only physical pain but emotional pain like her heart was breaking all over again. She remembered she had felt like her body was on fire. She remembered the needle and the serum. And the feeling of the liquid running through her veins. And that was all she remembered.
She felt like something missing in her head but didn't have the strength to think about it.
She got up and walked around the room. There was a bed and nothing else. No windows, no clock. Nothing that could help her guess the time or the day. The sheets of the bed were a bit dirty. The room had a load of place to be filled. She guessed the purpose of the room was different than just keeping people captive.
She looked up and looked right into the camera. She knew they were here and they were watching her. She just had to wait for them to show up.
A few minutes later, she heard the door open and she turned around to see Karpov. She smiled to him.
"Happy with what you've got ?" she held up her arms as if she was showing him what he had created.
"We didn't test your physical capacities yet. We were just waiting for you to wake up."
"For how long have I been asleep ?"
"Two days. We flied back in Siberia, we figured it'd be easier to do the experiments here than in America"
She simply nodded. Two days. She had been asleep for two days. For some people it might not seem a lot but to her it did.
But the thoughts of what he just said crossed her mind again. The experiments ? As in plural, as in more experiments ? Injecting her the serum wasn't enough, now he wanted to do more to her.
"What have you planned for me now ?"
"Training, testing you, pushing you to your limits. We're starting now"
"By what ?"
"To see how far you can go without eating."
Her eyes went wide as Karpov walked out of the room and closed the door behind him. She just stood there in shock. He had never made her do this. Sometimes, for missions, she had gone a few days without eating so much. But this was torture. Literal torture. How long she could take it ? Days ? Weeks ? She honestly didn't to know the answer to that question. But she was terrified of it.
