You felt sick, so you decided to stay home from school. The only person that you let know was Sting of course, since he was now driving you everyday. You didn't text Lucy to let her know, or even Gray. If you were being honest with yourself, you wanted to just drop off the face of the earth, go off the grid. But you knew Sting would never let you.

"Hey, where's Y/n? She's usually here by now, right?" Gray asked the group he was in. Lucy shrugged, and took out her phone to see the time. School started at 8:30, and was currently 8:03. You usually made sure you were here at latest 8:00.
"Yeah, she's usually here. Do you think she's at her locker?" Lucy suggested.
"No, I passed by earlier and she wasn't there." Gray sighed. "Have any of you guys seen her yet?"
"She rides with Sting, right? I didn't see his car when I pulled in today." Natsu added.
"That's right, now that you mention it, I haven't seen Sting yet either." Erza announced. "You don't think it has anything to do with the comments online, right?"
Lucy gasped, and covered her mouth. "Erza, you don't think..."
"Dammit!" Gray said through gritted teeth, and pulled out his phone. He went to your contact and called you, where it rang five times before it went to voicemail.
"Leave a message!"
"Y/n I swear to god if you don't answer your phone I'm going to your house."
"Wow, that's a bit much don't you think, Gray?" Erza asked him.
"I don't think so." He told Erza, and then went back to the phone. "Y/n, call me when you get this." And then he hung up.
"Maybe she is here and we just haven't seen her yet." Wendy shrugged.
"I hope so." Gray sighed, looking down. But when he looked back up, he saw Sting walking through the front doors. "You!"
"Me." Sting chuckled, and walked up to the group. "What about me?"
"Where's Y/n?!"
Sting was in a good mood until this. Why was another guy asking about his girlfriend? "Why do you car?" Sting frowned.
"Because she's my friend, and she hasn't answered her phone."
"You tried calling her?" Sting raised an eyebrow, obviously not pleased. Gray saw this, and raised an eyebrow as well.
"Yeah? Why wouldn't I? She's not here today."
"And quite frankly, it's not your business to know why." Sting shot at him, and tried to walk past him, but Gray lifted up his hand and placed it on his shoulder, making him stop.
"I don't care if it is or not, but I want to make sure that she's okay."
"She's fine." Sting said firmly, and the grabbed into Gray's arm and pushed it away from him.
"I need to hear that from her."
"What? You don't trust me?"
"No, because the way you're acting is really fucking weird man."
"Gray, Sting said she's okay, so she's okay." Lucy tried to calm him down, she could see that Gray was getting frustrated, angry even.
"I need to know why." Gray narrowed his eyes. "Just knowing that she's okay isn't good enough."
"Well it should be. You aren't her boyfriend so it shouldn't matter to you." Sting was less than amused, and was fed up with Gray. It didn't help that Sting was convinced that Gray had some type of feelings for you, but now Gray was trying to act like he cared. Sting knew that if he didn't walk away now, there was bound to be trouble. So he pushed pass Gray, and tried walking away.
"Some boyfriend you are! It's like you don't even care about her." Gray lifted his chin up. Sting stopped dead in his tracks, and looked back at Gray.
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me. God, are you that dumb? Are you unaware of what's going on, or are you ignoring the fact that your girlfriend is literally the target of the school right now? I want to make sure she's okay, because obviously you don't care." Gray stood his ground, looking Sting directly in his eyes. Gray's stare seemed cold, and if Sting hadn't known Gray for a while, probably would have been intimated a bit. Fortunately for Sting, he wasn't scared of Gray or even intimidated. The only thing he didn't like about Gray was the fact that Gray most definitely had a thing for his girlfriend.
"I'm done talking to you." Sting tried to walk away again, but Gray wasn't letting up.
"That's all you do, huh? Walk away right? Instead of dealing with the problem head on! Your girlfriend is more than likely dealing with shit and you couldn't care less about it!"
"Shut your mouth!" Sting yelled at Gray, walking towards him.
"What I'm saying to true! How do you know she isn't suffering right now?! Don't you think seeing all of those comments are destroying her?!"
"Of course I know that shit! I'm not fucking stupid!"
"Then act like you care! God! How can she love someone like you?"
Yeah, how could you love someone like him?
He had nothing but pure adoration for you. You were a good person, always so sweet and kind, and not to mention smart and selfless and honest and all of these other things that Sting could write a book himself about. So, the question was why was someone like you with someone like him? He knew he was hot-headed and pretty impulsive and not the best at decision making. He also knew that he could be greedy at times, and only think about himself. But when it came to you, he was a different person, genuinely. He knew when it came to you he would do anything in his power to prove that you could depend on him, and he would drop everything to fix something if it was wrong. Even as kids he stuck up for you time and time again. He knew you were out of his league, but you also felt the same.
The truth was, you both deserved each other. No matter how difficult things could be. You both were made for each other.
Sting gritted his teeth before swinging. Gray had him wrong if he though he was going to stand there and take his bullshit.
