The day had ended and it went fairly well. You didn't even look at Sting or talk about him at all, despite how many times Lucy had came up to you saying he was staring.

You were walking down the halls when Gray caught up to you when you were almost outside. "Y/n! Do you have a ride home?" He asked.

"Oh, no. I was just gonna walk." You smiled.

"Let me drive you."

"No it's really okay."

"Y/n, please. Let me drive you." He insisted.

"Alright, fine." You nodded.

You both walked out together, but the sight that you saw at the bottom of the stairs was horrid. There was Sting and Yukino making out, as they usually would do. It disgusted you to the core. "Yikes.." Gray said quietly. "Do you wanna go a different way?"

"No." You said firmly.

"What do you want to do?" Gray asked.

"I'm not sure."

"Let's just go down, yeah? He'll see you, maybe he'll stop." You nodded and followed Gray down the stairs. Like Gray had said, Sting had opened his eyes to see you across the way from him. But unlike what Gray had said, he didn't stop kissing her. He continued to look at you while making out with Yukino. That made you uneasy. And kind of pissed off.

"Hey Gray?"

"Yeah?"

"Just take me home." You said, just loud enough for Sting to hear.

"You got it." He nodded, wrapping an arm around your waist and guiding you away. He somewhat understood. He knew you had no feelings for him, which he will eventually get over with time. But in the moment, you just wanted Sting to be jealous.

When Sting saw this he was furious. He had stopped kissing Yukino, and came up with some sorry excuse to leave, and told her to catch a ride with a friend. She nodded, not wanting to jeopardize her relationship again. Sting began walking away from her, staying quite the distance away from you and Gray, but just close enough to hear everything.

"He's an ass." Gray rolled his eyes. "He's only doing this to make you jealous."

"Well... whatever the case, I have a philosophy." You sighed. You could feel Sting's presence close by, you could recognize it anywhere.

"Oh yeah? And what's that?"

"One and done."

"One and done? What does that mean?"

"One and done. Do it once, if it doesn't work, you're done." You shrugged. This made Sting nervous.

"Oh, so you never go back to an ex?"

"I'll try not to." You sighed.

Sting stopped following you, your words crushing him. He knew now that he made a big, monstrous mistake that he couldn't come back from. He was starting to feel sorry for himself, until he saw Gray open the passenger door for you. He held your hand as he helped you in and closed the door for you. Gray had noticed Sting standing there, looking defeated. As much as Gray didn't like Sting, he felt bad. He looked through the window of the car and held up a finger, telling you that he would be back in a minute. You were confused but nodded, and then saw him walking towards Sting. They stood in front of each other, not saying anything for a moment.

"Just thought I'd let you know that she would never cheat on you." Gray started off. "She's a very loyal person."

"I know that. I was just angry that day." Sting bit the inside of his cheek.
