I almost went to sleep without journaling, but I made it! Gotta build those habits while I'm young!
I'm learning so much from Atomic Habits. It's an excellent book.
I'm gaining weight, which is new to me considering I've been thin my whole life. I think the nuts are to blame. After spending a summer with no nuts (my boyfriend is allergic), I've been going crazy with the portions since I've been home. Peanuts, walnuts, seeds, seed oils. They're all high in fat, and I've been going crazy.
The weight gain is very slight. By weight gain, I mean fat gain. I don't even own a scale; I just observe myself. My tummy has been softer and more jiggly than usual. It's not noticeable to others, but it is certainly noticeable to me. I've devised a workout schedule to lose the new fat and have decided to cut nuts from my diet indefinitely. Thankfully it's not a very disruptive change.
Tomorrow is 30 minutes of cardio on the treadmill and 30 minutes of strength training at home. This repeats every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesdays and Thursdays are 30 minutes of cardio only!
My current diet is fine. I eat very healthily. For now, only the nuts are cut.
Wish me luck. Ironically, what I'm most worried about is driving 3 minutes to the community fitness center. Pathetic I know.
