I walk along the school hallways, eyes trained on the ground. The recess bell rang a few minutes ago, and now I was on my way to the restroom.
I looked up, a commotion catching my attention. Several boys were shoving each other and laughing.
They're happy, I thought.
They were nearing me, and in a couple of seconds, I realized I was going to get hit. This certain corridor only handled four people side by side and the pushing took up a lot of space.
Not wanting to bother them, I started to walk fast, keeping near the wall, and started to near them.
I greatly miscalculated. That was my last thought before I got hit by the one on my left. My body slammed against the wall since I was keeping to the side.
"Sorry!" several voices chorused.
"Are you all right?" the one that hit me asked.
I met his gaze as he helped me up, "Yeah. Sorry." I pulled my eyes away and muttered another apology, hastening to the restroom.
