I guess it's almost ending. I can't remember when I posted the first chapter but it would more or less be a year ago.
Time passes by so fast.

"Ciara!"
I turned at the call. Mau was skidding to a stop before me.
"There's something you should know. Promise you won't get mad?" She breathed out.
"Why would I get mad?" I looked at her weirdly.
"Please, just promise!" she panted, panicked.
"Yeah okaaay...." I replied slowly, dread settling low in my stomach.
She shut her eyes then blurted out, "ItoldKennedythatyoulikehim."
My mind went blank.
Did I hear that right?
"-ara. Ciara?" She whispered nervously.
"You told him?" I asked blankly, my mind still whirling.
"I'm really really really sorry," she burst out. "I swear! Please don't hate me."
I shook my head, not noticing the distressed look overcoming her features.
"It's fine," I replied distractedly, pulling my lips up in a smile.
She eyed me warily then sighed.
"I'm really sorry."
"At least you told me, right?" I waved her away. "That's better than nothing," I muttered.
She gave me an unreadable look but scurried away quickly.
I was too deep in thought to notice her departure.
I smiled wryly, gaze falling to the floor.
The one time I actually take a risk, it turns back to bite me.
My consciousness was pierced by a heated gaze boring into me, and I looked up.
Time stopped.
In that split second, a totally random thought crossed my mind.
So cliche.
