Cuphead and Chalice arrived in hell and looked around.
Chalice: Holy crap....com'n, let's go rescue Mugman.
Cuphead: No. I'm gonna go rescue Mugman. It's something I have to do alone.
Chalice: O-okay....I'll be right by the door if you need me.
Cuphead: Thanks for having my back, Chalice. It means alot.
Chalice: What are friends for? Now....go rescue your brother. He needs you and you need him. If you need help, just holler.
Holding the pitchfork, Cuphead walks in the door and looks around. The door closes and the Devil appears on his throne.
Devil: Well, well, well....look who's here.
Cuphead: I came here for Mugman. Where is he?
Devil: Oh? I thought you don't care about him.
Cuphead: Of course I care about him! Why wouldn't I be?! I cried all night because of you!! Where is he?!
Devil: Hey, now....let's not get hasty. I'm sure he will tell you himself.
Cuphead: ?...... !!!
Mugman: Cups....
Cuphead: Mugs! You're okay!
Mugman walks towards his brother and stands in front of him.
Cuphead: I'm so glad you're not hurt. Now, let's-
Then, Mugman pushes Cuphead away.
Cuphead: Hey! What gives?! I came to save you!
Mugman: Save me? I thought you don't care about me.
Cuphead: Of course I care about you! Why wouldn't I be?
Mugman: You stood there while the Devil took me away and did nothing about it.
Cuphead: Why do you think I'm here?! I'm here to rescue you!! Don't you want to be saved?
Mugman:.......
Cuphead: Mugman?
Cuphead touches his brother's shoulder.
Cuphead: Mugs-
Mugman swatted Cuphead's hand away.
Mugman: DON'T TOUCH ME! I KNOW YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT ME! YOU CRIED ALL NIGHT, DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT!! I THOUGHT YOU CARED ABOUT ME BUT.....I guess you don't.....
Tears started to prick in both of the brothers' eyes.
Cuphead: Mugman, please.....
Mugman: Just go, Cuphead. I'm better off without you anyway.
Cuphead: Mugman, please....don't leave me....
Mugman: Go away, Cuphead...
Cuphead: Mugs-
Mugman: I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE!
Mugman accidentally hitted Cuphead in the face and Cuphead fell back. Cuphead puts a hand on his face to reveal a big crack on his cheek. Mugman realized what he has done.
Mugman: C-Cups, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hit you! I was just angry!
Cuphead: (voice breaking hard) N-no.....you're right Mugs....I guess I am better off without you.....
Cuphead stands up and runs away, crying and leaving the pitchfork behind. He runs out the door.
Mugman: Cuphead-
SLAM!!
Mugman:.......
Devil: (laughs) Oh, man! That was so good! (laughs)
Henchman:........
Mugman: C-Cups.....
With Chalice, she sees Cuphead.
Chalice: Hey, Cups! Is Mugman with yo-
Then, she notices the huge crack on Cuphead's face and runs over to him.
Chalice: Oh, my gosh! What happened to your face?!
Cuphead: (voice breaking) Mugs....he...he.....he hit me.....
Chalice: He hit you?!
Cuphead: We....got into an argument.....(sniffle)....he thinks that I don't care about him.....
Chalice's pov
The Devil must've put those words into Mugman's head. It wasn't Mugman's fault.....it's the Devil's.
Chalice: Hey....why don't we go back home and fix that wound up? We can come up with another plan later.
Cuphead nods tearfully.
Chailce: We'll get you back, Mugs....I promise....we know where you are now.....
