Later, Cuphead opens his eyes to find Mugman asleep.
Cuphead: Mugs.....?
Mugman opens his eyes.
Mugman: Cups.....are you okay?
Cuphead: Yeah.....
Then, Cuphead wraps his arms around Mugman, sobbing.
Mugman: Whoa, you okay, Cups? Hey, it's okay.
Cuphead: IT'S NOT OKAY! I MISSED YOU, YOU PIECE OF WORK! I'VE BEEN HAVING NIGHTMARES BECAUSE OF YOU GOING MISSING! I WAS WORRIED ABOUT YOU!
Mugman: Hey, hey it's okay....
Cuphead: (voice breaking) N-no, it's not......
Mugman: Just try to relax, okay?
Cuphead: (voice breaking) O-o-okay.....
Later, Cuphead calms down.
Mugman: Feeling better now?
Cuphead: Y-yeah.....
Mugman: You've been having nightmares?
Cuphead: Yeah......
Mugman: Cups?
Cuphead: Yeah?
Mugman: I'm sorry that I punched you....I was in a bad place at the wrong time......are you okay? I hope I didn't hit you that hard.
Cuphead: It's alright, Mugs.....it was just a bruise.....and a little crack. But I'm okay......
Cuphead notices that Mugman is about to break down in tears.
Cuphead: Whoa, Mugs.....it's okay.....I'm okay......it's alright.....you didn't even hit me that hard.....
Mugman: (voice breaking) I.....I could've killed you......I thought you didn't care about me.....but you did and I was too stupid to notice.....(voice breaking hard)......I hope you forgive me......
Mugman broke down in tears, his hands covering his face.
Cuphead: Hey.
Cuphead puts his arm around his brother.
Cuphead: Shh....it's okay.....I forgive you....I already did a day ago.....
Mugman: (sniffle) R-r-really?
Cuphead: Yeah......you're my brother.....and I had no idea you went through so much.....you deserve better.....
Mugman:........it's okay......at least I know you care about me deep down......
Cuphead: Yeah, I do.
Mugman hugs his brother.
Mugman: I love you, brother.
Cuphead hugs back.
Cuphead: I love you too, Mugsy. Never forget that.
Mugman wipes his tears away and continues hugging.
Chailce watches with a soft smile and tears up a little.
Chailce: Aww. I'm glad you two worked it out.
Cuphead broke the hug.
Cuphead: Okay, save the rest of the mushy stuff for later. Right now, we need a plan to get out of here.
Mugman: That's the Cuphead I know and love. And I agree. We need to get out of here......somehow.....
