Cuphead: Elder Kettle, he.....he had a heart attack......the doctor says he's not waking up.....
Mugman: What?! He will come back right?
Cuphead: I.....I'm not sure.....the doctors says they will do everything in their power to save him, but for now.....we need to wait.....
Mugman: I can't believe this is happening......
Chalice: Seems like a family matter. Should I go, or.....?
Mugman: No, it's fine, Chalice....you're like a sister to us.....all of us didn't know it was gonna happen like this......
Cuphead: Guess we will have to wait.

Cuphead's pov
It's a been a week and we don't know if Elder Kettle's still alive.....I'm getting worried.....I don't want him to die.....
Mugman's pov
I can tell Cuphead's worried.....I feel the same way......but we need to stay strong.....
Then, there's a knock at the door.
Chalice: I'll get it.
Chalice opens the door to find a police officer in the doorway.
Chalice: Oh! Afternoon, officer. What brings you here?
Officer 1: I heard what happened at your house a week ago and I came here to bring you the news that.....
Chalice: Is....he okay?
The officer looks at the boys and Chalice sadly.
Officer: I.....I'm so sorry for your loss.....
Cuphead: !!!! WHAT?!
Officer 1: I'm so sorry, kid.....the doctors did everything they can....but....it was too late.....he died in the hospital.....
Cuphead: W-what....this can't be happening....this has got to be a joke!
Officer 1: It's not a joke......I'm so sorry.....
Chalice: I understand, officer.....
Officer: Again, I'm so sorry for your loss.
Cuphead runs over with tears but Mugman pulls him back.
Cuphead: NO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING! YOU'RE KIDDING ME, RIGHT?! I CAN'T LOSE HIM! HE DIED BECAUSE OF THOSE DOCTORS!!! I HATE THEM!! I WISH THEY COULD'VE SAVE HIM AND IT WOULD'VE ALL BEEN FINE!! AND....and....and.....
Cuphead cries in Mugman arms and Mugman looks at the officer.
Mugman: I'm so sorry, officer.....he never acted like this before.....he has autophobia.....
Officer: It's okay, kid....I hope he feels better soon......take care of him, alright?
Mugman: I will.
Officer: Well, I'm off. Take care of yourselves, kids. Again, I'm sorry for your loss......
After the officer left......
Cuphead passed out from crying.
Chalice: He passed out.
Mugman: He's never acted like this before.
Chalice: He's been like this ever since you were gone......I guess he kinda lost it.....
Mugman: I don't care if this is his fault in the first place.....The Devil took it too far......I think Cuphead needs to cool off for awhile.
Chalice: Yeah......

Mugman's pov
It's been two weeks ever since Elder Kettle died.....we went to his funeral last week and it did not go well.....Cuphead couldn't stop crying......but to be fair, I couldn't stop crying, either.....but not as much as he did.....Chalice gave us a wonderful speech, though......it was beautiful......but when we went to the gravyard, Cuphead completly lost it in front of everyone.....he couldn't stop crying.....he cried so much.....he felt exhausted......when we got back home, I putted Cuphead to rest while I watch over him.....he needs me now.....I've been gone for almost a week......he needs me after what we've been through.....
Chalice walks through the door.
Chalice: How's Cuphead doing?
Mugman: He's still not feeling well.....
Chalice: Ever since what happened last week......he's not feeling like himself anymore......
Mugman: Well, we will have fun tomorrow! We need to cheer him up. We have been grieving for almost two weeks......we need to go have fun to take our minds off of what happened.....it's getting late......we need to rest now......
Chalice: Okay.....night, Mugs.
Mugman: Night.
Later, Mugman sleeps in his bed.
Mugman: It's good to be back in my own bed, though.....
Mugman sleeps peacefully. Then, he heard a noise comong from Cuphead.
Mugman: ??
Then, he notices Cuphead tossing and turning in bed.
Mugman: (sad sigh) Oh, Cups.....you still having nightmares......
A bit later, Mugman sleeps close to Cuphead to keep him company. Cuphead stops tossing and turning and falls asleep peacefully.
